Yaqoobs steak house in Birmingham

Amazing food , so delicious, service could be better but , not very chatty but I suppose they may be new and still need experience

I visited this establishment on the with a couple of family members.I ordered a 10oz rib eye with corn on the Cobb and steak chips. I enjoyed the steak chips but can't say the same for the steak and corn.The corn, when taking a bite, became some sort of mash in my mouth. The taste gave me the impression that the corn has been off for a few days.The steak was decent, not really the most flavoursome. I tried to find reasons to enjoy the meal but was constantly let down by the quality of the foodI knew as soon as I saw the Chinese menu on the table, something was seriously wrong.The service on the other hand was good and the waiter was helpful with taking our order and making suggestions.

Came to Birmingham from London for one night. Wanted to go somewhere nice for dinner and people recommended this place. I'm glad I came to Yaqub's. Amazing steak, high quality meat and cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff. Loved the experience.

Really well made steak juice tender and tasty while customer service was top notch loved the place will highly recommend.Serving size of each every dish is really large and filling parking is bit of problem but still worth going and trying. Pricing is not too experience like other steak houses. Ambiance is really nice you can enjoy your food with family.

As someone who knows his cuts of meat this place was absolutely terrible not to mention the dirty tables and the waiter stinking of BO. I ordered a rib eye and was given some other rectangular shaped chewy hard cut which had no fat nor even a bit of marbling. I think these guys just but any old cheap cut and sell it as a premium cut. Only their mushroom sauce was okish. Guys don't waste your money and avoid this place. I reckon the 5 star reviews are possibly fake.

Really good Indo-Chinese food. I would still prefer a bit spicy food. Only if they can add Schezwan option in the menu (with noodles and rice), it would have been 5 star.

Pros: The meal was extremely delicious and tasty. What you see on my plate below is a 12oz well done rump steak with two sides...yep the portion sizes are super generous. The rice was too spicy so I didn't touch it as I can't eat food with lots of pepper. I ended up so full that I regret not taking a doggy bag home. The food taste and portions are so worth their vee affordable and reasonable price tag.Cons: The atmosphere was somewhat dull due to the none vibrant music. Also there were two waiters but it was only one who was actively doing everything from seating people down, to taking orders to serving meals at the table. As a result he looked overwhelmed as I felt he was so overworked that empty tables stayed unclear for 45 minutes. The other waited needs to pull his thumb out and help and not just stay behind the bar cleaning glasses and acting busy. It takes 5 minutes or less to clear and wipe down an empty table.

So I saw some reviews online for thissteakhouse. The photos looked amazing and my wife has always bugged me aboutgoing out for a steak. Lol. This place didn’t disappoint. We booked in advanceto reserve a table during the crazy Covid times.Yaqubs is very Covid friendly and have arranged the tables with socialdistancing in mind following all government guidelines. It was relatively quitewhen we went but that was fine. Staff were good and orders were taken in atimely fashion.The wife ordered some wings and a mocktail and I order some mozzarellasticks as our starters. Very tasty. The wings were soft and full of flavour.Cooked very well. For our mains, I had a Yaqubs ultimate burger (lots and lotsof meat) and chips (with a side salad) whilst my wife went for a steak, mashand salad.Again, both meals were excellent. Went down a treat, so much so we didn’t haveroom for dessert! I have already booked my next trip there …

Came all the way from London on Eid to hang out with friends, i was bitterly disappointed with the the standard of food. To start with they had no Lamb Chops...? The buffalo wings were very poor no flavour just a bunch of sauce on top. The food looks decent but not cooked to the specifications i asked for, it would not fit in the medium category. It was most definitely more medium well. I asked for 16oz sirloin and i got two 8oz, i asked for Steak chips i got fries and i also asked for an egg which didn’t come until we asked again. The gentleman gives the impression that he knows what his talking about but his chef has no idea what steak should be cooked like. I do not recommend this place at all. Big let down.

Seating was great got big tables even if its just the two of you.Steak was nice and good price with 2 sides. Mix grill was ok.Prices on menu reasonable for portions.Food arrived in good time and all hot.Overall good experience I will be returning for more steaks.
