Very affordable pub with massive portion sizes! The food and service were great, only little complaint is with the cleanliness (sticky table and glasses with marks on them).

Lovely food the mushroom and ale pie was delicious as was my husband's steak and ale pie tasty chips (although i had asked for mash but they were a bit busy). The staff were really friendly. Would have 5* but the apple pie was small for what you pay, we do find that sweets have become more expensive and smaller everywhere.

A welcome port in a storm, great location, the three meals we had were excellent and the beer superb. Staff friendly but not the fastest. A leader was missing as evidenced by the litter in the storeroom next to the bar that was treated with a combined acceptance of 'not my responsibility'. It was a dull memory from a very nice pub.

Good pub food at reasonable price. Nice selection of Beers. Staff helpful and polite. Interior of building is a little worn in places but that may be just reflection of how popular the pub is.

A typical good value pub but the staff were really nice and the food was cooked very well. They waited for a good amount of time before serving the mains after the starter. We were doing dry Jan and they had a good selection of alcohol free for us.

Food was absolutely beautiful, never had a bad meal here!! Toney the waiter is absolutely amazing!! He is so friendly and bubbly and nothing is to much trouble, thank you Toney for making our evening so enjoyable 😁

When we arrived there was dirty glasses all across the 1 bar, as it was 18.30, it didn't look good. While I was ordering drinks, the table that had been reserved had dirty marks on it and my wife had to ask for it to be cleaned. Also a woman who was waiting to be served after me was ignored as he went to serve a regular ( asked the person by name) The food was ordered and was not a good standard, I had ordered the burger meal and the bun disintegrated, also the fries went cool very quickly, the plates were just warm which didn't help.Won't be going back.

Cheap and cheerful grub, well-priced on the 'share with -another' deals. Up to a 20% discounts!Gammon and egg, and steak & ale pie, both with chips, probably the best of the traditional meals. Batter too heavy with the fish and chips, but the mushy peas were spot on- as good as my Nan's back in the day!Toilets clean .Staff courteous but service unfortunately was slow. Just squeezed.4 stars because of the attentive and cheerful staff.All in all good value for money!

This pub had nice food for a very cheap and affordable price. They have online ordering available and have lots of choices on their menus as well as lots of promotions. My kids enjoyed their meal. It's well located and convenient for canal boaters.

We went here during our narrow boat holiday. It's a greene king pub so you kind of know what you're getting. Cheap beer and big food portions. Ordering on the app was easy. Plenty of screens to watch sport. Service was good. Covid protocols in action. Let down by several clientele being quite loud and sweary during the early evening when there were families present. Unchallenged.
