Wonderful place to eat, lovely meal, pleasant staff

Been here a few times over the years but the latest visit was probably the best food we've had here, really good standard, couldn't fault anything at all!Picture is of the pork belly and scallops which was delicious.My wife had Hake Kiev which she really enjoyed too...We'll certainly be back again soon!

Absolutely superb food, really friendly staff & beautiful pub. Being a vegetarian, I'm used to getting small portions at restaurants....not this place. Couldn't fit a pudding in...but we will definitely be back for one 😋

Meetings friends for lunch today was great to catch up. The service menu was excellent with great choice...everything cooked to perfection. Whilst not looking forward to visiting here solely from past experience regarding the noise factor which was very bad mainly due to low ceilings, low ceiling and no curtains to deaden the noise the meal was great and best we've all had for a long time dining out. Well done as the menu has not always been on point so hesitant to visit again.

Had a very rare experience of a good meal out in England! Warm welcome, plenty of space around the table for 10. The food was lovely and was hot. The portions were large, so much so, my starter would have been plenty for a main course.Beer on the expensive side and not the best kept.For me this is a 'go back to place' which has not been the tag for so many places we have eaten in.

The main problem was picking something from the menu because there was so much I wanted to try, although all of the food we had ended up being excellent. Service was excellent and attentive. I'd definitely recommend going here!

The food last night was fantastic! A really interesting menu, beautifully cooked and presented. The pork belly with scallops was delicious. We can't wait to go back!

We were very glad to happen upon this place on our journey. Great value set menu especially considering the high quality of all of the food we had. I would highly recommend the chicken supreme.

Went for a Sunday lunch. For me the Pork was tastier than the beef but that's a matter of opinion! Nice bright and modern pub. Average prices. Good food and no complaints about service. I'd go again.

Overall we had a pleasant experience, the portion sizes were great and the food was good. Dont expect to be blown away, but I would recommend it for a solid lunch.The Sunday roast was full with food, although mostly with veg. The Yorkshire pudding was huge, but it was mainly air.We were almost charged for additional drinks due to a machine error, but luckily we caught it. Server was apologetic.
