Ideal Fish And Chips in Bromsgrove

Paid £6 for the smallest fish ive ever been served more batter than fish. Over priced and average food (this was about 6 weeks ago couldn’t leave a review at the time so came back now as I feel it’s needed) 👍

Today I ordered 4 LARGE chips and 4 curry sauces to feed several of us for lunch. I asked if these were a large portion as looked rather small to me to be told that they were trying to cut back on waste.. well shouldn't that be upto me as a customer if I waste what I pay for? Any other chip shop I have been too would serve 2 of those trays as a large. Disappointed as this cost me £22 quid and there was barely enough to go round!

Fish and chips are good but the donor kebab was the smallest portion of donor meat I’ve ever seen. Didn’t realise until I got home and unwrapped it. £6 for pitta and salad with a few strands of meat. Don’t bother wasting your money on this.

Despite very friendly staff and a very well presented clean shop, the food was awful. Despite being asked if I minded waiting for the chips to be freshly cooked, the chips I received were under cooked, and running in grease. They were served in a polystyrene tray, which there was no need for, and is not great for the environment. When I went to empty them out onto a plate, they fell out in one congealed soggy mess, and complete with a pool of oil.Expensive and inedible.

The best fish and chips in Bromsgrove worth every penny to have freshly cooked food which was still piping hot after a 20min drive home

Kebab & Chips small portion plenty highly recommended

Should be called Isteal..charge over the top prices for average food..it's actually cheaper to go next door and get a Chinese!

Chips were lovely but let down by a very dry, grey looking fishcake and very slow service

went under new management and for about 8 months it was great. i even said it was one of the best chippies ive had. then i placed an order that i couldn't eat, had to put it in the bin, 2nd time i ordered, same. Cant even explain just how bad it was. The trouble with bromsgrove chip shops is they are the same people, just changing the names of the shops. Shop (A) gets shut because it doesnt pass food hygene so they change the name, do a new menu and re open it 8 months later as a different shop. Shop (B) eventually gets shut for the same reasons. I would eat their stuff if i was homeless on the street.

Lovely food as always but portions are very noticeably smaller but price hasn't changed.I know it's been tough for businesses as of late but I always expect value for money.Especially after a hard day at work.
