Market Plaice in Bromsgrove

Best gluten free cod and chips. Very generous portions. I'm local and regular customer. Kind staff. Highly recommended.

So I recently went to this fish and chip shop, on the 1st of June 2022, at 18:00 pm and I ordered a kebab meat bap with chips for £5 and even though this chippy has a "5 star food hygiene rating", My stomach started to hurt bad later that evening. And then the following morning I had food poisoning, projectile vomiting 3 times and having diaherra and body aches and a high fever.I WONT BE ORDERING FROM THIS SEWER AGAIN!!! AND IF I WAS YOU, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE, AS YOU'LL MOST DEFINITELY GET FOOD POISONING!!!!!!

Wow. We ordered there last Friday, and the food was amazing. They couldn't have been more helpful catering for me. Fish and chips and mushy peas -no gluten, no dairy. Everything made on site, and the staff so friendly and helpful.Will definitely return.What a find !

Second time ordering food for delivery and both times food has been 40 mins late. Time to find a new chippy.Thanks for the reply but I’ve paid a delivery charge so would expect my food to be delivered on time (and it was a pre order of 1 1/2 hours).Food did arrive but stone cold.

The portions are more than enough to fill a hole and the quality isn’t bad either. The fact they do delivery and Gluten free for the wife and daughter makes this place my go to whenever I’m in Bromsgrove.

My favourite shop for fish and chips. Lovely friendly staff. Would recommend.

We normally have our Fish and chips from here ,but the last few times the delivery has been late and when it came the food is covered in grease and as for the fish there was none, it was just batter‼️ seems to have gone downhill.

My Mum was approached by the female owner in the High St yesterday who said she remembered my Mum visiting back in October, then showed my Mum a photo she had taken of her and grand daughter (my Daughter) eating Thier meal on the tables outisde. The owner claimed my Mum didn't pay for Thier £15 meal back in October, saying she must have been confused due to her age (she's in her early 60's and sharp as a tack) the owner said she would accept £10 cash to settle the bill. My Mum feeling belittled, explained that to her knowledge she had paid, as she always does (being a regular customer) however due to it being two months ago could not remember the single transaction. My Mum went in and paid the £15 by card. The owner then explained it was likely Thier own fault due to having a new assistant who had failed to take a number of payments that day. My Mum will never go there again. This is disgusting behaviour, let alone belittling my Mum making her feel like a criminal for what is very likely your OWN mistake your taking photos of my Daughter. I have spoken with them this morning and they told me to call back. My Mum will be checking HER accounts also, following this further action may need to be taken. The least I would like is for the The photo of my Daughter to be deleted and an apology to my Mum. We'll be in touch.

Huge portions, great chips, friendly staff. Fish was freshly made and tasty - could have had more flavour and a crispier batter.

My second visit here was no where near as good as the first. The fat was literally dripping off the box the fish and chips came in, all over my car and kitchen floor when we brought it home. It tasted okay but too much oil, disappointing.
