We went here for a "date night" we booked early to avoid the busy time, we had a quiet table in the corner by the fireplace. We were served straight away, with a bottle of water and order soft drinks and olives as a starter. Then we ordered our mains and wine. I had a pork tenderloin, with apple and potatoes, which I enjoyed very much, my partner had monkfish curry, which had tasty prawns, but the fish lacked much flavour. We shared a dessert, which was called sticky toffee pudding, but ours lacked toffee or sticky sauce. I finished my meal with a latte. The service was friendly and speedy, however I felt the food prices were on the high side at £18-19 for mains and £6.50 for dessert. The wine was reasonably priced at £6.40 for Shiraz and £6.70 merlot (250ml).

Great pub, very friendly staff we moved table 3 times due to the weather from inside to outside to shaded and they had no issues accommodating. Food was great as well highly recommended

Next on my list is this pub in the village of Belbroughton. Having been to The Talbot previously and having a good experience there, I thought it would be good to try this one.It has a nice beer garden tucked away at the rear of the pub and car park further beyond this. It werent too busy despite the current government offer on.The menu is on the pricier side but is understandable given the location we are in.I love a good pie and as such went for the following:Starter - Deep fried pork belly, red peas, pineapple and BBQ jerk sauce. The pork was spot on in flavour and the stuff that came with it accompanied it well. Though it looks small, it set a good spot for the main course.Main - Slow cooked beef and ale pie with chips (it is normally served with black pudding mash but I dislike black pudding 🤮), green vegetables and gravy- rammed to the pastry with beef inside, there's no air inside here. Beefs very tender and rich in flavour, no dryness here. Veg tasted fresh. Chips were crispy and hot. All good. 😊Totalling £12.60.Overall I would visit here again. 10/10 service attentive#eatouttohelpoutNo 2

Tasty food, polite staff, great environment. We have been there on 04/05/2021. Outside tables protected from rain and also outside heating available.

The first time I came here it was really busy and I couldn't get a table. Now I see why. Delicious modern pub food. Perfectly cooked, well presented, friendly chilled service. And a fire in winter. What's not to like. Delicious pork belly and loin. Beautiful vegetables. Will be visiting again.
