Ash Tree in Cannock Chase

Lovely pub for a midweek meal out... shame they don't do 2 4 1 like other Marston pubs but prices are sensible. Staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend 👌

Terrible food at extortionate prices. Imagine paying £15.95 for a lukewarm portion of pasta fit for a 5 year old.

Staff are brilliant! Sunday lunch was delicious and the meat dish generous and satisfying. I had the veggie pasta, which tasted great, but is only a small portion. Could have eaten it twice, so 4 stars. Would give 4.5 if I could.Main meals are priced two-for-one, so two meat dishes make good value for money.Atmosphere is good and dogs are welcome inside in the appropriate area, which is great for anyone popping in while walking their dog along the canal right outside.Loads of parking and a fence-protected children's play area.Recommended.

We arrived without a reservation and were welcomed warmly. The meals were ordered at the bar and served in a timely manner. The server Jason was attentive without interrupting our meal removing plates at an appropriate time offering desserts which we did not take him up on as the party were satisfied by the main course. All in all a very pleasent experience.

The staff were excellent and very attentive. The slight downside is the quality of the food, I can only imagine that it's prepared somewhere else and reheated on the premises. Rule of thumb is if you can cook better food at home don't bother go out for inferior grub.

Too much batter and hardly any fish!!Triple burger came out with only two burgers on but waitress insisted it should only be two, when it was advertised as a triple. Once waitress realised she was wrong after checking with the chef. She brought an odd burger in a dish to our table. So unprofessional, a fresh burger should have been presented to the customer!!

Had some lovely food there. But what made our experience at the ash tree and made us feel at home was Jason the bloke dealing with our table, so helpful and so kind to my kids. We will definitely be returning..

Very tasty burger with first rate chips. Unhurried and friendly service. Good value for money. Will come back with the family!

Attended for a murder mystery event. We were greeted at the door and looked after from the minute we arrived. The staff were attentive for the whole duration of the evening. The table service and food/drinks were second to none. The entertainment was wonderful and made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
