Dog and Partridge in Cannock Chase

Really comfortable homely feel to this pub. The staff are really friendly and the IPA (neck oil i think!) was epic. Sea bas was excellent! Lots of food to choose from- i highly recommend a visit.

Amazing food and service. First time visiting but definitely won't be the last. Next time we will make sure we book as it gets really busy. Excellent menu and really reasonably priced, with good sized portions.

Didn't book a table , but they very kindly accommodated us. Super staff, excellent food, couldn't fault the service, will definitely go there again. Highly recommend, but book first.

A traditional rustic pub, interior decor in need of a bit of a makeover. That said if you want quality service and food, this is for you. We went for Sunday lunch and it didn't disappoint. Table service, a set menu of traditional roast dinner on Sunday. You have a choice of 3 plate sizes and have to tell the waitress what you don't want serving otherwise you get every vegetable being cooked that day. We opted for the Medium size plate, see photo. You can opt for a single, two or three course meal. We opted for the two course, with choice of sweet, see photos. The meal was hot, tasty and well presented. What you cannot see from the photo is two good portions of turkey and two slices of gammon obscured by the vegetables. Other choices of meat were available beef, lamb and pork. Unlike many carveries there was ample gravy supplied. Top notch food and staff. As I have said in the past never judge a pub by its decor.

Visited today for a spot of birthday lunch. Very busy but the staff member found us a table and took our drinks order and made us feel very welcome. Food was bought quickly despite being warned there might be a wait due to time of day and amount of customers. Food was absolutely delicious as always. We absolutely love this pub for the friendly staff, the beautiful home cooked food, great drink selection and just general great atmosphere...we wish it were more local so we could visit more! Thanks for a great, relaxed couple of hours :)

A beautiful pub with a great selection of home cooked food and wonderful polite staff who couldn’t do enough for us. My particular favourite was the lamb shank .. lovely and tender.. the meat was falling off the bone and it had plenty of flavour.. huge selection of desserts too which are also yummy. I have eaten here many a time and it is hard to choose as everything is delicious.. also a great selection of real ales.. larger.. non alcoholic and soft drinks. To top it all off there are real fires.. making a lovely atmosphere.. and dog friendly in certain areas what more could you want. Defiantly my go to place for an afternoon or night out.

Fantastic pub, we've just been with our dog and a party of 8. The good was wholesome and delicious, won't hesitate to go again.

Fab well looked after real beer. Typical pub grub, which I have to say seemed a bit pricey for what it was, in all honesty... Probably far too much on the menu, and more simple (fewer items) might reduce the cost for the pub which could pass on to the customer.Hate to say that, because it's a good pub otherwise.Very friendly staff as ever...

We went with our puppy Saturday 9 October and the evening was wonderful. Honestly was one of the best pies I’ve ever had in a pub!Staff were really friendly and loved the dog. Was so nice to be able to sit indoors with the dog as well. Incredible value for money - will definitely be back!

Good home cooked pub food. Great service. The burger was nice with homemade chips. Really reasonable prices. Nice little find a bit off the beaten track. Pudding was generous with lashings of custard and a nice sticky toffee pudding. Thanks guys.
