The Bilash in Cannock Chase

We asked for a specific time slot an hour and a half in advance so that we’d have time to put our kids to bed first, which was disregarded and it turned up 30 minutes early whilst we were putting the kids to bed. The food way tepid on arrival and really lacked flavour, on the whole a big disappointment. We won’t be using this restaurant again.

Visited for the first time recently. Friendly welcome from staff. Very nice table settings. Food arrived promptly. Quality of food was very good. I usually use a Tikka Masala for a bench mark when visiting a new restaurant and the Bilash served up an excellent example. We chose the three courses deal and we're very pleased with all dishes. Staff attentive but not overpowering. Restaurant is licensed a plus in my opinion. Will recommend to friends. A special mention to the young man who opened the door for us on leaving. He was very smart and obviously has a promising future career in hospitality.

Where do I startOn arrival I was greeted by a rude waiter who blatantly ignored myself and my party for at least 2 minutes before asking If we had a reservation.This was supposed to be a special meal as my friend just got married.We booked a table for 42 people, as I called up 1 year in advance for this reservation and was told it wouldn't be a problem. However, on arrival they said they only had a table for 2 people. Although this was extremely disappointing we still took the table. The Bilash did all they could to compromise and offered us 40 chairs around 1 small table.The meal was really lovely and looked amazing. We got offered complementary drinks before we left however they only gave us 2 so we asked for 40 glasses.The rating is so low only because of the price of the food in comparison to the portions we received. In the end we had to split 1 cobra between the 42 of us. Due to the prices we stuck with 8 poppadum's between all 42 of us as we only had £10 on us.Will definitely be returning again for my friends nans cats funeral.

We called in this evening wanting a table for four. Accommodated is no problem and had an amazing meal plus post dinner drinks and a rose for the ladies. Such lovely touches which will make us come back again. Thanks guys x

I WOULD RATE THIS ZERO STARTS IF I COULD!!!!!!!The shop itself seemed very presentable and welcoming however this was not the case. The Price did not seem too bad averaging around £25 a head for a chicken curry, a naan and two poppadum's however there was 4 small bits of chicken on my plate, the chef decided to decorate my plate like a garden centre.no wonder we was the only people in there!!!

This was the worst curry I have EVER eaten, I consider myself a curry connoisseur, I have travelled the world to many different places in India but by god this place tasted like Cockroaches had cooked it, the food was cold, the curry was bland and tasteless and the décor looked like a 13 year old emo's room. They overcharged us for the curry and the beer that I got served had rice in it, all of this being served by a 10 year old kid that had better service than the manager.

Well this was an experience..... A TERIBLE ONE.The waiter had 0 manners, food was cold and got given the wrong bill.Whole place seemed very disorganised!Curry was bland and not very plentiful.I don't usually give bad reviews but this place deserves one.I'm sure I saw a creature scurrying around the floor once I left!

Noticed the Bilash was doing a midweek 3 course deal plus I’d heard good reports recently so thought I’d give it a go. I always have the Chicken chaat starter wherever I go because it is always really tasty but this version was quite bland and disappointing. Opted for the Lamb Jeera main course but, again, this didn’t tingle my taste buds plus the meat was overcooked & a bit rubbery. Only good point really was the Keema Nan was very nice.

The quality of food is good however there seems to be a bit of meeting point at the bar area for some of the local lads (could be delivery drivers).Still worth a visit!

Super friendly, very welcoming service. Shared meal- the BEST mushroom rice + cheesy/mushroom naan😋100%recommend ...cumfy seating , snug+ warm.
