Came here on mother's day for a meal, and got told straight away that they were a bit short staffed, so we thought it might be a while until we were served. Within only a few minutes of being there, we had someone serving us. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, with more than one coming over to check on us. The meal was lovely, affordable and tasted really good!Couldn't fault it at all. Big thanks to the members of staff who made us feel welcomed and made it a meal out to remember.

Well was a nice meal until we ordered dessert… forgot to mention they didn’t have any strawberries then decided to give us the wrong sundae, witch was sour frozen berry’s… I wasn’t happy so they took it back not offering us any other dessert….then proceeded to sit at the bar and share the sundae between them all, using the same spoon while we all know covid is on the rise, I know one member of staff was called Chloe along with 2 other members…. due to her glowing reviews we decided to eat here, I will not be back… absolute joke

Not the best, waitress Libby was lovely, pretty new. Ordered, oh we don't have those, happened twice, no separate meatless menu at all in the restaurant. Order loaded onion rings to go with starter, they came covered in bbq sauce, doesn't state it on menu, they did me some more, but took ages, had finished my starter way before they came out. Pretty disappointed really

VERY poor customer service in regards to how we were treated, walked out after waiting 35 mins to have any order taken, although 5 different members of staff walked past in that time. Yes, we could have asked for service, but when showed to table "I'll be straight back for your drinks order" we were told! And it was an evening out with table service, not self-catering. Maybe the member of staff on maternity leave who arrived with the newborn was a greater distraction(we know she is a staff as she has served us previously).

Wasn't as pleasant as I would have liked. Food was good, but the chef couldn't carry out simple instructions when it came to what was wanted.Front of house staff were really very helpful and very pleasant and the pub was very clean. Menu needs a little tweeking🤔

"Please sir can I have some more?"All you can eat breakfast more like first come first serve, Absolute terrible experience arrived at 10am and accepted for a "buffet" breakfast. NO hashbrowns, no bacon, no sausage, 1 fried egg a family of four in the resturant had to share a single sausage between them. 5 minutes after being told they will cook more a manager arrives to tell us they will be taking the food off the hot counter. This is following a time we arrived for a carvery on a Sunday at 4.30pm to be told they had shut the carvery down. Do not advertise what u can't serve!

Had the cavery, it was delicious. Plenty of meat yorshire pudding if you want. Lots of vegetables to choose from. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will be regular visitors from now on. X

Lovely food and friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Didn't have the full dessert menu available today but what we chose was nice. I had a loyalty birthday voucher to use so meal was good value.

It had been many years since I had been here as food took a bad turn..But ....We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning 4 adults and baby .. food was nice but serves was extremely slow and wasn't overly busy inside but it was noted by the what I assumed one of the managers and they actually came out of there way to come over and apologise for this ( without prompt) and it was appreciated,We returned Monday as seen there 2 for 8.99 offer and thought we would give it a try and well done guys! service was on point and not only was it a great value but the food was spot on we will be returning!

Four of us had a really lovely lunch here and all in all, it is reasonably priced and good value from their "Day Value Mains". This lets you have two meals for ÂŁ8.99 and a desert after for only ÂŁ2.99!We ordered two rounds of fish and chips, one sausage, egg and chips and I had the Beef and mushroom burger and all our meals were fresh, tasty and very good. The drinks selection is good and my pint of Tribute ale was just perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming and Andrew went out of his way to make our lunch experience a truly enjoyable experience.Social distancing is maintained by a one way system and face masks are required when entering inside and if going to the toilets as well. The decor is warm and pleasant and it wasn't overcrowded we we were there. It is only a short walk from the canal on the Rugeley visitors moorings, after Bridge 66 and before the railway bridge following the road above the bridge.Definitely worth the visit and we would certainly reccomend it...Thanks to all the staff but in particular to Andrew for your great service. Keep smiling as you did when we were there and hopefully see you again sometime soon...!
