The Merchant in Cannock Chase

First time dining here and Wow just wow! Food amazing decent portions and really tasty! Cocktails really nice and so much flavour! Staff really welcoming and pleasant and such a lovely atmosphere. Will be returning soon.

This is a lovely pub. Very clean and cosy. The staff are friendly. We have had a couple of meals now and we have enjoyed every one. Value for Money, 5 *

Went to the Merchant with my son last night for a meal. We both had burgers and without doubt it was the nicest burger I've ever had! The beer was good as well and the staff extremely pleasant. Excellent all round.

Went to meet up with a mate who i haven't seen in a while, we checked on the website beforehand if the merchant was "dog friendly" and it clearly states that it is,We arrive and the person on the door says they do not welcome dogs because they serve food.Myself and mate are both chefs and have both worked in restaurants/pubs that are dog friendly so I know it doesn't matter if you serve food or not. So don't take your dog because the website is lying.

Love coming to this pub! That staff are always so friendly and happy to help with anything. Lovely food especially the burgers.

Lovely bright modern and comfortable bar. Service was outstanding. Staff very friendly and welcoming providing great customer service. Food is great and so reasonably priced. Always pop in when in the area. We'll worth a visit.

Visited the merchant on Christmas day. Table layouts and the venue were well decorated and felt very welcoming.Food was great and didn't really have to wait very long between courses .Staff were all great, very cheery and made sure we had everything we needed . Especially considering they were working on Christmas day. Big thankyou to them all

Had no problem with the venue but the third party booking service was not helpful. If attending a special event, ie Christmas, you must order your food online. Staff are excellent, food good for the price and plenty of it. It may be better to book with them direct

First time in Cannock city, we found this place looking for breakfast/lunch. Me and my fiancé came in, we spotted our favourite drinks on their menu straight away, which was a bonus. The menu is bigger than the average pub 's with some exceptional items on it. The service was outstanding delivered by a lovely lady. The prices are extremely affordable and a bit surprising as well as the quality of food and service is brilliant. We will definitely be back!
