Probably turned up on a bad day, staff seemed stressed and locals seemed to have had far touch to drink. Food could have been better steak was vet fatty and chewy. Apart from that good food portion

We've been here for 3 weeks running now. Every time the food has been first class, and prompt. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Don't see any reason not to continue using this pub

Had a good meal there today at lunchtime. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choices on the menu. Will return in the near future.

Food wasn't great, some really over done, some cold, microwaved..really disappointed. Pudding was stale (muffin). Fruit salad out of a tin ☹..No heating on and it was 2 degrees outside, toilets need updating, no locks, broken seat. On the plus side the staff were great, polite and cleared tables quickly.

Extremely unpleasant experience. Tables were sticky, glasses were dirty. Chips came 10 minutes before everything else and by then they were cold. The food was inedible, very poor quality and had to send it back. VERY rude staff who huffed at me for asking to return the food to the kitchen. Bar staff also very rude. Went home and ordered a take-away and definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone or be returning myself.

More detailed review as requested by owner: There were no soft drinks on tap. Most of the menu was unavailable. Ordered 6 meals, 5 came out but waited 15 minutes for the final one and by that time most guests had eaten. No one ordered sweet corn but my rice had a few pieces of it in there. Staff were just silent, when asking for cutlery etc there was just no acknowledgement. A weird experience all-round.

My time at the pippin was exquisite! I ordered a burger and chips that came quicker than I expected for such a busy period, the food itself was as on point with a healthy portion to match! 9/10 I will definitely be retiring to the pippin no matter what the event! Shout out to my chef for the evening , Fred! I know his name as I asked to personally tip him myself for such quality food and being so well looked after. If you’re looking for good food please look no further!!

I was here on Friday and the Elvis act was really brilliant, and my food was excellent I had the fish and chips. Jake and Leighton served me and they were both really attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Olivia was lovely also. If I could leave 10* I would.

This was my first visit to this restaurant for the first time in over a year. The food is still as nice as it was before the last time I came here and I am looking forward to coming here again. I would recommend it to anyone. The service is very friendly too. Thanks and all the best to all the staff at The New Pippin, Paul.
