Poor customer service, of which the lady who served us seemed like she just did not want to be there. Parted with just under ÂŁ10 for two scones and a large pot of tea. The seating was all taken inside so we sat outside but there was not a lot of room. The tea came out quickly, but they forgot to bring us milk so after waiting a few minutes we went in to ask for some, of which they told us they had forgotten. We then waited for about 10 minutes and went in to ask when our scones were coming, of which they said they had forgotten about those too! Not impressed, will not be returning.

As always calm, friendly with delicious cake & good coffee. One of my secret places to be alone.

Came in for breakfast on Wednesday, had the small English and I have to say it was amazing. The bacon was so tasty, and everything else just perfect, egg, mushrooms, beans, sausage. Very high quality food and friendly staff. A rhubarb and ginger cake was produced and I committed to go back later and try it... I did, and it did not disappoint, think rhubarb gin and ginger ale.... Amazing sponge cake and great flavours. Well worth a visit.

Quaint little cafe, serving, home cooked, delicious food. I recommend Sunday dinner - booked in advance(as they are popular!) It is the best Sunday roast dinner... homemade is their perfection. Also the coffee, cakes and cooked Breakfasts have become our family treats.

After all the good reviews, it was disappointing. Hot chocolate is basically warm milk and the scone with butter and jam came with margarine!

Best breakfast I’ve had in ages. Just what I needed to fight off my hangover and get ready to do it all over again! Top quality food and plenty of it. Really great independent little setting. A world away from the soulless cafes and coffee shops that are pervading our communities. Excellent service too. Highly recommended!

Had a tapas style meal at Emily’s for a pre birthday meal on 15/9/21, I say it was a tapas style but the portions were more than adequate. There was plenty of options to chose from we had 7 dishes. Themackerel pâté was exquisite (so much so had some to take away) . Lovely pleasant atmosphere which is family run, nothing was too much . Music on in the background with volume reduced so as not too loud to spoil conversations but enough to enjoy. Food was great and so are the staff, would recommend.

The food was tasty and the service was very friendly. It took quite a while to get the food to the table. If you are sat with friends and having a chat this obviously isn't an issue, but if you want a quick bite.. It could be. The girl who served us was very apologetic for the delay. I will eat here again, but plan more time, although it may have been a one off.

Amazing cafe. Beef and horse radish baguette was delicious, so was the bruschetta! Prices are extremely good value. Will be back soon!
