Fern Leaf in Coventry

Worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. The chicken satay was that hard that we couldn’t even bite it off the skewers. Sweet & Sour sauce was watery & vinegary. Curry sauce just tasted peppery. We ended up throwing it away. Even the prawn crackers were oily & tasteless. Steer clear & keep away ☹️

Got a takeaway beef with oyster sauce & chicken curry last night & as usual it was absolutely delicious,,ive been using this shop for year's now & I've alway's had delicious takeaway's 🙂

Hi you need to answer the phone i have just thown up so greasy sending food to trading standers. Prawn crakers chewy curry to greasy now not answering phone someting amiss

Put this quite simply. We have been using fernleaf for what surely must be close to 10 years by now, from the takeaway to the sit in restaurant we have ALWAYS had exceptional service and amazing food obviously I have read the 1 star reviews of this place and quite simply I understandThis restaurant has been up and running for a veey long time, you have staff changes, culinary changes and quite simply just very very busy nights. I don't claim to know what happens behind closed doors but all I can say is we have never received a bad order from fernleaf and the food has always been top notch!So I will say to any one reading, yes there will be the occasional misshap as with every restaurant but if you want a good Chinese meal you can try here

Lady on phone doesn't understand English . Asked if on ball hill /walsgrave rd ... didn't understand ...made order eventually... (wouldn't of bothered using at all if weren't for a family member saying get meal from there )... she was rude miserable and unhelpful...when on collection food gets pretty much SLAMMED on counter .. paid and asked for prawn crackers as spent X amount of money ... rude again ...then when home ..part of order weren't right ..rang explained to be told I was wrong ...customer service awful ..front of house is important as that's who a customer sees speaks with...this person needs a degree how to be with people polite helpful etc

Really bad service, delivered to wrong address then tried to deliver cold food.When rang them back they put the phone down!!!Go to the golden kitchen, much better food and really polite service .

Food was absolutely awful!!! Found hair in my rice a bone in a 3 in 1 which hasn't even got meat in!The guy was rude that brought my food, worst of all I felt really ill the next morning.DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. IT'S THE WORST CHINESE EVER!!!!+×!@

Really awful, smelly in the place, and food was cold salty. chips was extremely solid.

Best Chinese that I can remember. Shocked with each dish about £9-11 but when it was served...it was plentiful and very tasty.

Honestly one of the best restaurants and delivery service in Coventry. Always make sure the food is delivered as specified. Not to mention, ample portions, excellence in quality, and quite simply stunning taste, Fern Leaf is without doubt unmissable. The Food Standards Agency rates them a 3/5 which could be better, but is still a decent score. It basically means that the area where food is prepared is up to decent standard, but could be looked after better. Nevertheless, taking this all into consideration, it is a lovely restaurant.
