Playwrights cafe bar & bistro in Coventry

Forgot to take photos of the food as it was too lovely and we wanted to get stuck in!!My friend needs gluten free and the menu is jam packed full of options for him!! (normally he can either have ham egg and chips or jacket potato)We both had cod and chips ( absolutely amazing!!)My fella had the bacon and cheese burger which again looked amazing.The portion sizes were huge and everythinf was cooked amazingly!!Staff were friendly and helpful definitely planning on going back soon!!

Playwrights cafe... one word " FANTASTIC "We go to Playwrights weekly for breakfast the food is 100% and quality very very good.The staff are always friendly and happy to help, never had any poor experience at this excellent little cafe.I would 100% recommend playwrights to everyone.

I have just had the best ever Sunday Roast ever. Just beautiful. Best red cabbage I have ever tasted. Everything was just right. Homemade Tomato soup. My mom had a nice Fresh prawn cocktail. Fresh and fuity Eton mess for pudding. Honestly couldn't find a fault.

Me and my girlfriend love breakfast from here. Consistently good and tasty every time. You can tell everything is freshly cooked. We will come over for a dine in once it’s warmer outside.Definitely the best place in Coventry. Quality products. Sausages are wonderful quality for the price. Pouched eggs - cooked to perfection. Food is not greasy.Eggs Royal - amazing too.Compliments to chef - you are amazing.

Cozy place and in a very nice setting. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. I had the Chickenwich and it was fantastic.

Had a fantastic lunch here with my toddler daughter. Very welcoming and child friendly. The food is great. Lots of choice and really good value. Brilliant cafe. Well worth a visit. I'll definitely be heading there again on my next trip to Coventry.

Very good ambience. We ordered chocolate milk shake and chocolate muffin ( was good). We did not like the milkshake, it was very bad. Thinking to try main course next time. Very clean place and customer service was also good.

1st visit after lot's of deliveries over lock down lovely sunday dinner and no washing up. Staff as friendly as always. New venue since moving from Town centre but food still good and plenty choice on menu and can take a nice walk a long the canal after wards.
