Red Lion in Coventry

We go to the Red Lion twice a month on a Sunday for lunch as a treat. We have been going for about 10 years. We have always found the staff to be welcoming, friendly and helpful, as I am disabled and walk with 2 sticks. We also take other members of our family with us on birthday and anniversary occasions and have always been treated well

Customer service was good.Food had a lot of taste and the steak was cooked perfectly.Waitress Laura was nice.Improvements that could be made is offering blue light card 7 days a week.. not every front line worker can only come out during the week

Fantastic pub. Family friendly, nice and clean, inviting and cosy atmosphere with great service and friendly staff. If I ever stay in the area again, I won't hesitate to come back here. Drinks are decently priced and they have a great selection. Food was on point too. 👌👌👌

During a 3 night stay at the nearby Holiday Inn we took a 10 minute walk to the Red Lion and were pleased we did. The food was well cooked and the Timothy Taylor ale really well kept. I would certainly recommend.

Great food, really tasty. A lot of room, big parking and nice, big garden. 4 stars only because they've forgot about my dessert and I had to ask for it twice. However I will definitely return.

Had the French dip burger. 2 patties with cheese and steak tails. That gravy might be the best sauce I've ever had. Tim Taylor was a delicious fresh cool pint. Friendly attentive staff. Am recommending.

Very good experience for our first visit . Very welcoming staff and lots of space inside and out . Food was of a good standard and portions were just right from the lunchtime menu. Very clean establishment , all areas being cleaned on a regular basis. An enjoyable lunchtime meal and we would definitely recommend this pub to friends.

Service was excellent but the food was only ok!Posh fish finger sandwich was loaded with tarter sauce but it doesn't say so on the menu. I can't stand tartar sauce but the pieces of fish were so tasteless I may have been better leaving it on.Also states comes with crisps? I didn't know what to expect but got a small portion of chips so not too bad considering I only asked for a sandwich.Wife's jacket potato was warm and obviously microwaved but overall tasted ok.Again, the service was good!

It is a decent place to drink and eat.Bar staff are pretty friendly. Toilets are in dire need of a decent scrub...dirt on the doors where you use your hands.Only downside to this place is the manageress. Loves the sound of her own voice and isn't easy on the eye.Everybody else makes the effort to look tidy apart from her.
