I called the shop before I arrived and I asked if I could have the somasas fried fresh and I was told it wouldn’t be a problem and should take 5 minutes by the gentleman on the phone. Once I arrived, the lady serving was hesitant on providing fresh samosas and I was told the ones in the display would be reheated in the microwave, which is something I could have done myself. But to be given an option of only soggy samosas or nothing is poor service. I chose to leave the shop and visit another shop down the road sweet memories who actually fried the samosas fresh for me and it wasn’t a problem for them. A real shame as it was our first time visiting standard sweet centre. I don’t usually leave reviews but this deserved it for the poor customer service

Absolutely amazing shop, the most amazing Indian sweets ever, and I've tried sweets from all over the country yet I still haven't found a place to rival them, I have to insist everyone tries their Cherry Barfi we buy it by the KG and the kids love it and now my husband can't get enough, their other sweets are amazing also Cham Chams, rasmali and there Samosa well we brought 8 Wednesday to take back to Devon, however we didn't get a mile from the shop before 4 had gone and 3 miles before they all disappeared 🤣. Please if your in Coventry and heading back to Devon please grab me 2kg of cherry barfi and 16 samosas and email me to meet you 🤣

Had lunch, chewy bland chicken tikka and the Samosa chaat was nothing but a really hard samosa with chole. Took a takeaway of saag chicken and they have put cooked pieces of chicken tikka into some saag, standard in this place have really gone down over the years sadly

Stodgy, bland & oily pakoras. Potatoes were too hard still Samosas weren't much better. Too thick pastry and not crispy enough to get through the thicknese. Bland mix inside. And they seemed to have added chilli powder after they cooked the potato. All i could taste was chilli powder. Won't be going there again

Samosa chaat was like a door stopper, tasted as if it is a few weeks old, had no chutney wouldn't call it a chaat, ordered papadi chaat that was stale and old salty lots of masala powder, drowned in salt, then we ordered alloo parathas and could not find any signs of alloo in there and was dry as hell. Masala tea was dirty and was drowned in masala, and now we have diarrhoea.

By far the best samosas in town! The curry’s are lovely and they have the best range of Indian sweets! All packaged beautifully for a special occasion 🎂 💕 the management are really friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend 😊
