The Old Crown in Coventry

Loved the food and very friendly service and patrons. Had a delicious chicken special and clean my plate.

We chose The Old Crown for a "lunch reunion" with friends coming from the South and the North of England, before visiting the lovely city of Coventry: current and deserving Capital of Culture. Food was really good, and the service even better, with both Manager and staff looking after us, and making us feel very welcome. Pity I forgot to take pictures. Great place!

A hidden gem! My first visit will not be my last. The staff were as sweet as could be and the service, excellent. The pub is pleasant to sit in and have a meal. We both had starters - lamb kofta and mushroom bruchetta- delicious. Then a hunters chicken burger for me and a cheese and bacon burger for him. We were very impressed. The food was nicely presented, beautifully cooked and absolutely scrumptious. Can't wait to go back.

Just had yet another lovely meal, the fish, (large portion) chips, and peas, the batter was so crispy fantastic meal. Sharon was as ever friendly and helpful. Would recommend people give the Old Crown a visit.

Eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Excellent home cooked food . All staff are very welcoming and helpful. Sharon is especially helpful. Lovely experience.

Great pub! Food is always lovely and homemade, would definitely recommend! Bingo on a Monday is a nice enjoyable afternoon

This weekend we celebrated our friends 40th Birthday with a bottomless brunch. The Old Crown team were extremely helpful in making the afternoon a complete success. Our waitress Sharon was amazing and went above and beyond. From the moment we arrived Sharon helped us set up the tables, made fancy napkins and provided glasses for a toast ready for when our guest of honour arrived. The food was delicious, our glasses were refilled as soon as they were emptied. We handed the cake to Sharon and she completely took care of everything. A massive thank you to Sharon and the team at the Old Crown.

I think it’s important to inform everybody that this establishment is one not to miss.I have eaten in restaurants/Pubs throughout England and Europe and I can honestly say that the menu here is perfected to a high standard. I believe the food quality and menu ideas make an excellent meal and the prices are just unbeatable when It Comes to talking about a menu with this much class. I just want to thank the chef for making sure everything is cooked fresh and great feasting.I do have a special mention for the waitress Sharon who made sure we were met properly at the door and made us feel at home,she described the menu items to us and helped us with recommendations and she sure wasn’t wrong. She couldn’t do enough for us and brought some banter and some chat along with the experience,In my opinion the level of service she gave us I’m surprised she isn’t a supervisor and I do hope she is valued by this establishment. Thank you again and I will be back in October!!!

I love this place! Wonderful staff and outstanding food. The sticky toffee pudding was traditional and the best ever. I highly recommend The Old Crown!
