Best pub in Cov hands down. Decorated really cool throughout. Love the marvel decorated tables then upstairs the neon retro game theme. Good pics to put on the gram! Staff are nice too, reasonably priced drinks, what more could you want?! Always have such fun nights out there. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely outstanding pub. Have drank here for the best part of ten years. Seen the menu and atmosphere change but always caters as the best pub in Coventry.Always have guest ales and mouth watering food. If you’re browsing Google for somewhere to go for a drink and a bite to eat… give up your search now and I’ll bet a pound to your penny you won’t find better service elsewhere.

Great selection of drinks and food. Reasonable prices, lovely staff, can not ask for more.

I mean what's NOT to love about one of the oldest city centre establishments! Great people, atmospheres. We'd Fri and Sat nights being major hitters and Sunday quiz's ending weeks on a high!

·

Really kind staff. We had a small dog with us, and they went out of their way to be kind and welcoming - including selling us a burger patty all cut up in pieces for her to eat. I’ll absolutely make this my go-to place just for that level of consideration

Late review but basically, it's a lovely classic pub close to the university. Surprisingly, it opens early in the morning so I tried the English breakfast. The portion was good and it tasted great!!

Great night paddy’s night table service in garden of baby Guinness was a top idea saved us going to the bar. Top night, even though there were a few trouble makers out, which the bouncers handled perfectly after having to restrain a guy for trying not to pay for drinks he was aggressive and kept racially abusing the staff after he left trying to get them to fight him, door staff were very professional and ignored the horrific abuse they received, always feel safe when I visit here and they are part of the reason keep up the good work peeps most wouldn’t of tolerated that level of hate

Tuesday night, I went out with a few mates to watch the footie and have food, the bar was heaving and staff were running around like mad, there was a private party upstairs but when we can in we hadn’t booked, the lovely young girl sorting tables and food helped find us a table at short notice and was on point the rest of the night, the bar staff were serving as fast as they could but what stood out was they all made time for the customers the manager was serving a couple, while fixing a problem for another person and making the old gentleman at the bar fell like he mattered, lasted on in the evening I found out he was terminally I’ll but he was there as the staff made him feel like someone even through, in his words he said ‘I’m know one but they always check in and make time for me’ that is the reason for this review as they were working their ass’s off but still found time to make customers feel valued and the food is awesome. Def make it a place in your to do list..

Have been here a few times and generally it's alright. Always a good atmosphere and some good variety of drinks on tap. Went this week for a dinner and I think this is a recent thing but everything seems to have gotten really expensive. Nothing wrong with the food we got but you could go to a much nicer place for the money. In previous experiences the staff have been friendly as well but this week we were served by a guy that was very rude. He was probably having a bad day but he was being so unnecessarily confrontational about things that any other place would apologise for.Overall not a bad place but for the money there are better places to go within a 5 minute walk of this place

It's a nice pub with indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are reasonable. They offer variety of food, and drinks. Their burgers are fine and surprisingly their dumplings are good too. It's a great place to have a night out with friends. Nice thing about this place is they use a DJ app that allows you to choose song from their albums.
