Check in good, room spacious but run down , went down for dinner as part of package to be told not much food left by the lady in charge of carvery, no choice apart from Ham or what looked like fish which had been out for a long time. Some vegetables had ran out and not topped up . Roast potatoes were frozen type and awful. Pudding was choice of cake or cake . Very poor .Got a drink from bar, 2 young ladies serving were very good cheerful and chatty, Ended up going back to room with a drink as bar was full no seats available.Noise all night from grounds of hotel , singing shouting ,doors banging , brights lights shining into room from garden .Bed comfy though, got up early to check out before breakfast based on dinner would rather have McDonald's .Overall ,staff very good, but won't stay here again .

I spend two weeks at this hotel. Value for money is brilliant, plenty on offer for breakfast and night time menu. Staff are polite and friendly. The lady who works behind the bar most evenings is punctual pleasant and helpful. Always had gave you service with a smile. If I ever have to return to Coventry or the surrounding areas this is the hotel for me.

Mixed Feelings on this one and feel our experience was good compared to others. The outside looks great, until you realise that's not the bit of the hotel you're staying in. Our room was great, lovely and spacious but am aware others were disgruntled. We all had time to discuss this when the fire alarm woke us all up at 4am but no actual fire. Again, not something they could probably help. Our issue came with the bar. Should say it wasn't the staff, she was golden. But that was the issue, there was just one. Only one bar too, but yet the hotel had taken a booking for 3 coach trips. There was a wedding happening in the function room which was fine, but obviously priority had been given to them so queues ran all the way out of the room for the bar. This can be quite challenging when you've got children. Then when at the bar, the veggie options for food in the bar were disappointing. Only so many times you fancy chips/garlic bread or pizza. Of course with a bar under immense pressure, what you really need is for the tills to go down. The girl behind the bar coped with this like a champ, but it felt like she was unsupported by management again. Then there was nowhere to sit, but yet a big bar area on the other side of the entrance that was untouched. Great for the hotel that they are able to be busy after dealing with a pandemic and definitely prefer it to a generic chain hotel but maybe think about being prepared with extra staff and facilities. There was an Overlook Hotel vibe about this place but that was fine by me.

The welcome and facilities were appreciated. I booked the hotel at a budget price with my package including a three course evening meal and buffet breakfast and it was more than adequate. Yes the listed hotel is a little tired inside but we all understand rising maintenance costs on a property. So I got what I asked for and more.thankyou I totally enjoyed my stay.

How I wish I could give a sub-zero rating. We were given a room with faulty heating with our day old baby. I asked a staff to sort out the heating cos I can't afford a newborn in the cold room. She responded that the heating is on from their control room, and we should wait for it to heat up. I pressed further, understanding the risk to our baby and us. After about half an hour, she brought a very small heater that could not heat the room, and they kept saying it would take 20 minutes for the room to be thoroughly heated, and the room was never heated up.And also, the room we were in lacked maintenance, wallpaper plying off, marks on the desk, and the room had an unpleasant smell. This is my first time and will be the last.

This hotel is very poor. First room had hole in ceiling, décor poor. Radiator wouldn't tun off. We complained second room was much same, see photos. Third room not too bad. Breakfast meals cold and not slot of choices. Evening meals generally good but wife got the runs from one meal.

We paid for a superior family room and when we checked in there was nothing superior about it. The only good thing about the hotel was the staff. The room was extremely basic, the mattress was bigger then the bed so hung off, I had to remake the bed as the sheets were on the wrong way round. We paid £79 and WiFi was not included so had to pay extra. Breakfast was plain and underwhelming. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Basic room but it was clean and had everything we needed such as kettle, en-suite, dressing table etc. We were there for new year and weren't told the facilities such as the pool and spa weren't available which was a real disappointment as it was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel. I asked behind the bar if they could put some music on at the night which they did so I appreciated that, it brought a little more to the night than being sat in a silent bar. The grounds were nice to have a wander around in.

I don't know where to start with this hotel so I will start with the positives. The front of house receptionist was very polite, attentive and personable. From the moment I entered the hall, I could smell very strong cleaning products ( which I suppose can be a good thing considering we are dealing with covid) too strong and overwhelming for me. The communal area looks run down and is in desperate need of renovation. We had to step over a used glove in the hallway leading up to the room door. Just outside of the door on an ledge was a used body wash and 2 dirty glasses. When we entered the room, it was nice and warm (the only plus), the outdated looking bedside tables were dusty, the little table in the corner hosting the kettle etc, was very scruffy. The bathrooms vinyl flooring looked as though it was coming away... long and short of it, we asked for a refund and left.

After reading some awful reviews of this hotel I was dreading staying there last night on a National Holidays coach trip. However I was very pleasantly surprised! The room was a bit tired but was a good size, had everything we needed and most importantly was very clean! The staff were great especially the restaurant staff and the 2 girls behind the bar who worked really hard to serve the massive queue! Yes this place could do with a lot of refurbishment but for the price you pay you simply can’t complain. If you want luxury then pay for a luxury hotel! The food was also good for the price. Much better than a lot of reviews make out!
