Breakfast was awful! Cold and hard fried bread and toast. Eggs hard and cold, beans dry. The ladies behind the bar Tina and Amy were great and gave me a full refund. However I was not allowed to buy them a drink, as it is not allowed.

Enjoyed a City Hosts curry and pub quiz on Wednesday. The curry was superb, 3 different types of curry, Came 2nd (VIP's in the quiz, shame i missed out on our teams prize of free drink from the bar as i had to leave before winners announced. Id never been in town crier b4 but definitely go again.

Disappointing BreakfastVisited after a work meeting and expected a freshly cooked breakfast! I was greeted by a very friendly member of the bar team by the name of Amy! Well what a pleasant first reaction to the place and surrounding area! A member of this team that scores highly on customer service in my opinion! Well it started of great but after a what seemed like fifteen minutes I was served my full English and I did not expect what looked ok but not what I deserved after the kitchen staff provided it somewhat late! Bacon was dry and hard , The beans were cold but reduced to what looked like lumpy orange wallpaper paste! Toast was cold and rubbery and the whole thing seemed like it had sat waiting under a heat lamp which turned the package butter into liquid? I was disappointed to say the least and didn’t feel like complaining as I was very late for my next meeting!Any way I was asked by Amy if everything was ok and I did mention my concerns to which she was very apologetic! Thank-you Amy ! If I could have waited my issues would have been rectified but like I said time was not on my side!My point is the front of house needs an Amy but maybe the backup from a decent cook or a shift manager to look after behind the scenes! I’ve seen this before in many establishments where front of house staff and back of house staff are mis managed by lazy shift managers!Anyway this needed to be said as Amy shone in her role but needs the rest of the team on the same page and not relying on her for the whole experience! Best regards

Very nice atmosphere, good food and drinks and super friendly staff!

Enjoyed an amazing roast dinner. Was happily surprised to learn that the roast dinners are home made. We had the pork option, very delicious! We will be back again next Sunday

·

Great place to have a pint, a good selection to choose from. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a nice conversation with the manageress about the pub and she gave us some great recommendations for places to visit as we weren't from the area. Will visit again very soon.

Nice traditional City Centre pub, good value food and drinks. Staff BRILLIANT! Be minded when Coventry City are at home, gets very busy!

·

Staff were friendly and seem to know a lot of the regulars, reasonable priced beers but the food is AMAZING for a pub. We came thinking it would be the standard Marstons menu but it turns out it their own menu and it’s seriously good!

In n out, popped in to use the toilet and have a drink maybe something to eat but the moment I walked in it felt like a locals only pub. Looked clean and toilets well kept but with that kind of atmosphere I won't be back.

Not your typical city centre boozer.Reasonable selection of beers and ales on offer at decent prices. Nice, comfy surroundings with friendly staff.Free admission to live entertainment which is predominantly Rock bands which goes down with the clientele which seems to be not kids.Bands play until about midnight so good for a night out.
