Very good food good service clean place nice bar staff

Walked into the pub. Told the member of staff behind the bar that we had a booking. This wasn’t even on the system, luckily enough there was a spare table.We then had not choice but to have a carvery as we overheard bar staff telling each other that the chef hadn’t turned up. We weren’t informed about this when being seated but it was true. We had our carvery which was by far the worst I have ever had. I left almost all of mine and so did my daughter. We won’t be returning again.

I meet my elderly Dad here every couple of weeks for lunch and we both enjoy the light bites menu. It is always nicely cooked and the staff are lovely and look after us very well.

Great service, plenty choice of food. Amazing carvery and huge meals from the menu. All piping hot. Staff were great and helped get perfect spot for the wheelchair user during our family meal. Definitely going again .

I would totally eat here again the food was so nice and customer service was spot on 11/10 for me great place

Came here to celebrate a 100th birthday with 16 people. Lovely food, friendly service. Will definately be back!

Was in the area so popped in for a bite to eat obviously i was here at the write time not only did i have the amazing steak that i ordered i got to sample the new menu which i couldn't faultWould like to thank Ginnie and her team for an amazing evening

Arrived on spec for a Carvery after a journey returning back to the area. Staff were very helpful making sure we had enough food, even preparing some in the kitchen as there was insufficient for all of us. We ate and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

We were very disappointed to arrive for a celebratory carvery to see that there was a very small piece of only pork left. The poster in the pub advertised carvery from 12-5pm. We arrived at 4pm to be told thats all that was left. We reluctantly ordered fish and chips which we could have had from the chip shop for a cheaper price, although the meal was very tasty.

Had a fabulous steak meal last night in the British Oak, really lovely, staff were ace, especially Jake and Jack, certainly be in next week again with the 30% off main meals, fantastic offer.Glenda. 👍👍
