Absolutely first class! Honestly don't know how they do it but always so efficient, professional and without question the best Indian food we've ever had. Lovely atmosphere.

Having been looking forward to a post-christmas meal out and really fancying something beside turkey, we visited The Cellars.First part, we were asked FOUR times what we would like to drink by four separate waiters. Each time informing we had already ordered. We paid £3.57 for three slightly burned poppadoms but meh, no big deal. The mains then arrived, a butter chicken and mixed makhani, both of which LACKED FLAVOUR. The butter chicken was collecting water on top so had clearly been WATERED DOWN. Nice touch Cellars. At £9 this was pretty bad, total waste of money but wasn't in the mood to send this back.We were asked if everything was okay, the waiter already agreed with himself it was and moved onto another table before I could confirm otherwise.£3.79 for a Pepsi, I mean come on... its a draught pepsi. Zero skill required and again way over priced. Just my opinion on that.Overall rushed service, trying to be over efficient to keep you moving along and didn't feel in any way relaxed the whole time. Shame as its a lovely setting, but would of been much happier if the main course had some depth of flavour and the chef hadn't watered it down. It may be tough times for restaurants, and you may be "making it go further" in the back but we notice as customers and will vote with our feet still. If in Stourbridge town centre, avoid Cellars unless you're into bland food at over the top prices.

Never had a bad meal, staff are always welcoming, and helpful. Food is always 1st class. And the restaurant itself it beautifully decorated, with a nice busy vibe upstairs, and a more cosy romantic feel in the cellar. 100% recommend

This has been our favourite Indian restaurant for a long time. Down stairs in the old cellars is a good place to be seated for an intimate meal. The staff are always good and food is very good too. Not much to dislike for us.

Really disappointed. Had a booking for 4 adults on Saturday night @ 7.30p.m in the cellar. Arrived and was told the booking was for 8p.m and the cellar was full, no apology made and we were made to feel a little uncomfortable. We were then approached by a very rude member of staff and asked us what the problem was?. We were then shown to our table in the cellar, they had put a table in a little hole at the bottom of the stairs and actually told us that a table is not normally their but basically this is what you get. The attitude of this member of staff was appalling, you do not expect to get treated in this way. We then decided to leave and eat elsewhere and give our money to a company who deserved it.Please note if you book a table in the cellar for some reason this is not guaranteed - Do not know why as when you book a table you book a table!!

Never had a bad meal here. Portions are of good size, the food is authentic, tasty & served hot to your table. Staff are always pleasant & on hand to assist. Decor & Atmosphere are very pleasing with the quirky cellar dining downstairs. Definitely recommend.
