Great pub with a very good selection of guest beers from different brewersHaven't tried the food yet but from speaking with people in there it's very good and gets fully booked quickly, definitely worth a visit

Easily the best food I've had in a restaurant/Pub for a long time. Lovely pub, warm and inviting. Great beers available, the staff were really friendly and happy to help. Will be recommending to all friends and family.

Absolutely fantastic food had slow cooked pork belly that is the best I have ever had 100% and the ale bang on aswell definitely coming again u can't go wrong fantastic thank you

wow i just have to say what a wonderful welcome we had last night celebrating our wedding anniversary pete and i had a lovely meal chosen from a very appetizing menu to please everybody.a big thank you to bill, mike, nick, matt the chef and all the team who are always working hard to make you feel very welcome.A must visit if only to taste the selection of real ales and other beers on offer.And last but not least not forgetting Donna who endlessly keeps the fountain cobweb free !!!!gill and pete

Popped in on the off chance on Friday tea time, managed to accommodate us despite being fully booked, good food and drink, pleasant staff and nice relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely friendly staff. Large , fresh home cooked meals in the restaurant , really tasty - my local and now my firm favourite for food. We went in the week but can’t wait to try the Sunday lunch menu. Well done to all staff. Get a table and try for yourself! Nice ales and bar food too!!!

Rang on the off chance after being turned over by another restaurant....what a little gem of a restaurant to find.Seated 4 of us no problems..both watresses very pleasant.It always lights my fire when i see "homemade" meals on menus..you know that someone has put a bit of passion in the food and to me thats what its all about.Meals tasted and looked absolutly delightful. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and will be deffo returning. May even be our new go to place as being so close to us. Im not saying its marco pierre white standard but its bloody good and bloody good deserves recognition.well done Chef and well done team..very happy customers..thank you

Great home cooked food. The Steak & Ale pie is mouth watering, chunky pieces of steak and you can really taste the ale. With a proper pastry, not just a puff one resting on top. Excellent selection of real ales, which are changed regularly. And the waitress that served us (blondish hair) was excellent and attentive. Definitely worth a visit and book a taxi

Once again, and as always, a wonderful experience in every way. This is a glorious place to visit at any time of year, but I can't imagine a more festively cheery, welcoming place than this at Christmas... The usual high standard of food and ale and the usual outstanding and friendly service.
