Harvester Castlegate in Dudley

Service at first was brilliant, unfortunately the lady that took our order left. She didn't let us know or pass us over to a new server, this meant we couldn't get the attention of someone else as they were all busy with their tables. We ended up going to the bar to pay the bill, which we didn't mind but the service behind the bar was not as pleasant.The food was lovely and quickly delivered, hot and delicious.Maybe the chef who came from the kitchen to serve the salad bar could have covered his dirty top and been a bit more helpful.Overall the experience was good and although I have raised a few points I would return.

Really nice place and very friendly staff. The vegetarian dishes my guest tried to order weren't there and my guest had to go with fish and chips.I went with sirloin medium well, and it was really good. Juicy and tasty as what I had expected to be. The cheese was yumm! The fish and chips was also decent. No complaints.Only downside to the whole experience was the weird smell and was mildly pungent. Addressing that would make the customer's experience much better.

Salad bar now lacking choice and can't help yourself yet the server wasn't wearing a mask. Main course was great. Staff lacked enthusiasm and all seemed unhappy - think a lesson in customer service would be really beneficial - we are lucky to be alive and have a job!

3 course meal for £11.99 absolutely worth the money but drinks should come with it though which was a bit disappointing but hey ho. Staff were great, food was excellent, great atmosphere. I would visit again soon. Salad bar was also great too

Popped in Friday lunchtime (I didn't reserve a table) with my neice and her 2yr old daughter. We were shown to a table straight away with a high chair already in place, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was really good, big portions with a bonus of a great salad cart served by staff. The staff were friendly and seemed happy in their work, nice and clean restaurant. A great find for me. Thank you 😁

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere... Food okay. Some of it reminded me of moms being to Iceland 😔

Really nice staff with a nice clean environment, food and drink service was very quick, my only issue with the menu was the lack of vegan options but apart from that the salad bar did help

Breakfast: I ordered the Mediterranean eggs but they were disappointing, salsa too tangy, bread quite average. My sisters waffle and chicken was nice, the chicken was perfectly crispy but the waffles were slightly too sweet..

Harvesters burgers are great tasting and are loaded. Shame I can’t say the same for the rest of my plate. The chips were a little bland and plate looks a little empty compared to other restaurants. This is one of the cheapest items on the menu at a not so cheap £13 but I did expect a little more for the money! Staff are somewhat friendly until you want to stop a while longer and feel like you are getting forced out when you want another drink, maybe because we were teenagers and they felt like we were doing it on purpose but after a day at work you do just want to chill out.
