Very high quality food! No grease, perfectly crispy and was not disappointed. It's the only chippy we go to now. And Staff are very friendly.

Foods ok, prefer my chips more cooked, staff professional but not overly friendly, very expensive for what portions you get and a chip shop closing at 8.30 what’s that all about? Live very close but will travel to Wood Lane chippy always now !

Went here first time a few weeks back waited for 15 minutes for the smallest bag of chips! On getting them home they were, hard, chewy bits of potato. Went in the bin. Went again this evening hoping they might be better, but no same extortionate price, long wait, small portion and hard chewy chips. Fish was also very small for the price and grey all through had a very strong taste. So disappointed and I'm sticking with our usual down our plaice, always fantastic food there.

A friend of mine advised me to try this Fish&chips. Lovely family ran business. My cultural culinary roots are very much tied to the Fish and Chips takeaway. As simplistic as the experience can be, it can also, given the correct venue, offer an experience that pull on the heart strings. A fish and chips shop like Parkes Traditional Fish Bar took my expectations to a new level. The service is friendly, warm and chatty with its Brit roots. I've been impressed by hygiene and cleanlness. I haven't seen any takeaway this much clean. food is sensational. Everything is prepared fresh. The fish is succulent. The chips have bounce and, the Curry sauce was perfectly made. I don't remember enjoying fish and chips this much for a long long time. Parkes Fish Bar is up there with the mighty Bedders, arguably Birmingham's fınest. Thank you for offering a memorable experience. Well done guys👌👌👏👏Will be back soon.

Clean...hygienic preparation, good quality cod, crispy traditional batter and only the best superior oil used for frying. And I imagine they change the oil regularly so no meal ever tastes like its come from a greasy spoon cafe. A bit more expensive than other chip shops locally..but worth it!

Smashing!!!! We visited here this evening for the first time. We wanted gluten-free fish and chips as my wife is coeliac. We were not disappointed one bit. By far the best gluten free fish and chips we've had and highly recommended now.The normal fish and chips was just as good also with perfectly cooked chips and crispy batter which was not dripping with grease like some other vendors.Well done and can't wait to have another gluten free treat night now

I always like to try a new place and this one came recommended so I thought why not. Place looked nice and the area was clean inside. The food in the counter window was fresh and made my mouth water. Whenever I try a new chippy I always try out their fish & cos as I feel it say alot about the place.The fish here with a lightly coloured batter was brilliant. Didn't find it too oily or over salted. The taste of the fish was nice, completely melted in my mouth and the cops were nice and fluffy.I will attend again to try something different but a 5 from me

Simply the best traditional chip shop ever! Clean, friendly quick service. Good selection of fish. Always fresh. GLUTEN FREE every Monday all day. Absolutely beautiful. Cooked to order, best gf around, great batter. Traditional fish and chips at its best.
