Redforte Asian Cuisine in Dudley

I used to visit this place every now and again, and have to say this used to be my favourite Indian restaurant, even tho it wasn’t close to where we live, we made the effort to go because it was that nice, today we went back for the first time in years, the food was still as nice as I remember it, but sadly the experience wasn’t how I remember it, when we arrived i asked for a cold jug of water, they brought out a jug of water with ice and empty glasses, and we noticed there was bits floating around in the water, so therefore we didn’t drink it, it was also very uncomfortable sitting down in there as it was a hot day and they didn’t have any fans or air con on, they brought out our main course while we were still eating our starters, then they started to clear the plates while I was still eating my main course, they overcharged us on the bill as they put down a kids meal as a adults meal and we had to dispute this, also if you order a popadom starter what they don’t tell you is you have to pay for the sauces as well, but they don’t ask you what sauces you want, on the whole the food was nice, can’t fault it, but the experience let it down for me, and sadly we won’t be rushing back.

Awful almost ruined my birthday meal.Staff could not be bothered to give us the time of day, atmosphere was dead (no music until half an hour in)Food was very mehWaiter decided to turn his personality on toward the end of the meal but by then was too late.Before he was rolling his eyes and puffing at the time it was taking to come to a decision (clearly not taking in to account my elderly grandparents)He tried to run off before taking our drinks orders, and everything seemed to be an inconvenience for him- including asking to be served in the first place! We must have been sit down 15 minutes before he came over to us (and it was NOT busy).Would not go again

We had a very tasty curry in here for Father's Day. The portion size was large. The staff were very friendly. Like how we can take our own drink 🍷🍺

Girls night out throughly enjoyed 😉 it. Food tasty. Polite and funny waiters. Overall a good experience 😌

This place is so nice, you feel really welcome and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the staff very attentive. If you love Indian food I highly recommend a visit either to eat in or take away. You won't be disappointed. From the outside the building looks a bit tired, but don't be mislead, it really is a hidden gem of a place inside! BTW the Rod Forte special tikka and peshwari naan was awesome 👌

Order from here regularly and can honestly say, never had a bad meal! The cheese and garlic naan bread is the best I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried a lot!). Also never had to wait more than 40 mins from ordering to being delivered, exceptional service! Top work guys - thank you!

Simply superb! I've been a regular for over 5 years. I LOVE curry and Mak and the team always delight. Try the tandoori chicken and mushroom jalfrazi! It's not on the menu but don't let that stop you!!! Open for take away at the moment (and they deliver too!).

Haven't visited for some time and decided to try the Red Forte again. Arrived and restaurant was extremely busy so we thought we might have a bit of a wait but service was spot on. Food was amazing although one small let down was the coconut rice. Tasted like half a bag of sugar had been emptied onto it!! Otherwise an excellent meal at a brilliant price with friendly quick service. Will definitely return
