Round Oak Crown Carvery in Dudley

Usually a good buffet. Don't understand why mushrooms are an extra charge out of all things. Could do with getting up to date with refillable soft drinks. Recent visit only problem was the sausages were really undercooked.

Had a carvery here today, fantastic meal . Generous amount of meat , nice selection of veg that was cooked to perfection. Nothing could be faulted about the meal , it really knocks some other local carveries into fits! Clean and tidy place , the new area is a perfect addition to the pub . The staff are very good too , our waitress ( think she was called Dianne ??? ) was very pleasant . Most enjoyable experience. Looking forward to the next visit.

Very warm welcome, not busy when we went (2.30 Weds) Food arrived quickly and was hot, cod and chips was delicious as was the cavery (I didn't, and couldn't have eaten both!) Lovely, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Reasonable prices, short distance from Merry Hill, will definitely go again.

We usually come on a Tuesday and its good, but today was our best visit by far. The young guy carving was very chatty and said he was the kitchen manager. The beef and roast potatoes were particularly amazing. We were table checked by Alan who was also very pleasant as always.

Amazing . I just ordered for 1 as family all out. Was enough to feed 4. I ordered beef pork and turkey . But beef was missing. Gravy had leaked everywhere.but who cares . Was so nice . And personally I dont eat veg but even I was impressed with all the veg. 2 Yorkshire pudding. Loads of roast potatoes . Mash. Stuffing and pigs in blankets. Will definitely be having again just brill x

Visited on 24th January with my family, including my Dad who is very vulnerable. We had booked beforehand but as soon as we arrived Diane took us under her wing and made sure that we felt comfortable and went out of her way to ensure that we were sat in a quiet part of the restaurant. We had already previously visited (again with Diane as our waitress), so we knew from before that we were going to feel safe and this visit was no exception. The food was amazing, as always, but Diane really made it for us. I don't know many places where staff go above and beyond as she does. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Approached with a warm welcome, shown to our table that we had previously booked, fast and friendly service at the bar. We opted for a carvery, and what a lovely selection of meat and fresh vegetables, and all the gravy you can drink 😂 Staff very friendly and was very helpful to guests. Will be sure to return very soon. Thank you

Almost walked out at first due to the queue of the bar, but we didn't fancy driving elsewhere as we'd just been to Merry Hill. We could tell the place was clearly under staffed, unsure whether it was due to covid or not, the waitress Diane checked on us when we got our table and was very pleasant. We did have to wait a long time for our food, but from our booth we could see the chefs were very busy having to do takeouts, maintain the carvery queue, run food if there were no waiters, as well as anything else, eventually the blonde chef bought our pizzas and burgers over and asked for us to come up and have our carvery. The carvery itself was one of the best we've had, we usually go to Toby, and the others enjoyed their pizzas. We're glad we waited. Giving 5 stars for the effort the staff put in as well as the quality of the food we had.

Called in without a booking on a Sunday and was able to get a seat. Carverys are really nice here meat is tender and all the veg has plenty of flavour. Not fresh though but still really good. Price is reasonable enough and all the staff that were on when I visited were really friendly and welcoming.
