The Chequers Inn in Dudley

Called in for breakfast on our way to pick up a parcel from the pos office. My wife had the eggs and mushroom benidict which see thoroughly enjoyed. I had the small breakfast which wasn't as good, the beans looked like they had been on the plate from the night before and warmed up in a microwave with other items and then a freshly cooked egg put on the plate.The coffees were great.I have eaten in several Wetherspooon pubs around the UK and this was the worst.

Dear lord. Do not come here unless you want the female manager ( black hair in pony tail) to be singing at the top. Of her voice, making loud noises and shouting instead of talking when there's about 5 tables of people here and quiet. It was horrible to deal with and it was very off putting to the point we had to leave as fast as we could. I come here as its quiet and there's no music, not so some woman could be singing the same line over and over again behind our table.

Looks great from the outside, walked in and sat in a kind of booth but soon moved because the seats were absolutely filthy. Moved table to be joined at next table by a real noisy bunch, even though there were loads of empty tables they could have used. Didn't want to keep moving tables so left and went to the deli up the road and enjoyed a sandwich and cuppa.

Love the food and drinks, but the amount of students taking over the place is a joke. Counted at least 40 taking up tables charging phones and not one ordering any food or drinks. Paying customers being turned away as no where to sit. Not acceptable. Asked one of the staff about it, the manager does nothing about it

Food and drinks were good. Prices reasonable. Service very good and friendly. Only complaint was it was cold and there was a funny smell and carpets and seat coverings could do with a good clean.

Booked and checked table was reserved to get there and find they'd booked us in for 5 when we ordered a table for 8. They did accommodate us. The meal was delicious.....Sunday deals...brilliant

Good spoons. Nice breakfast and decent atmosphere on a weekend. However the place is rife with students who don’t purchase anything and just use the place to work/socialise.

Nice clean public house, great social atmosphere. I love it here, definitely my favourite JD Wetherspoons pub. Highly recommended.

Bar staff were not very helpful when explaining pumps were down. Almost one word answers to questions. But food was nice.

This is a great weatherspoons. Staff polite and the bathrooms clean. Tables are cleaned straight away. There are staff greeting you on door. Decor really eye-catching. Lovely tasting family meal. Ordered via app and within minutes drinks brought to table 👍🍴
