Wollaston Fish Bar in Dudley

Had some beautiful fish and chips from here this evening- perfectly cooked. Like all chip shops the standard of food can vary (depending on how long ago it was prepared, quality of potatoes etc) but they're pretty consistent and the staff are friendly with service usually quick too. I suspect the 'one star' reviews posted are fake and malicious.

Pretty disappointing. Below the usual standard. Ordered a small chips for my daughter, literally about 11 chips. About the same in the kebab. Chips tasted like they were hours old and cold. App said preparing even though it had been ready a while. No staff wearing face masks. Will go elsewhere next time.

Absolutely disgusting food. Do not visit.Ordered 2 pies, and the pastry is rock hard and the inside is all dry and steak was hard with no gravy. Chips was also very dry and luke warm.Wouldn’t even give it to the dog. Funny how they say it’s an award winning chippy!!

Great food me and my missis had chicken burgers with chips and Peri Peri chips can't complain defo going there again

Lovely delivary service through just eat. The sausages are lovely from the local butcher. Yum yum chips are not greasy just right. Fresh roe is nice sliced down the middle so cooked even. I'm not keen on their cod though did not taste like cod and batter was not very good. Don't know why? Mushrooms in batter bit over cooked for my liking but still nice. That's all we have tried and a honest review still room for improvement over all good chip shop good sevice.

Food is fantastic and service is as good as it could be, it's only fault is on peekdays it's too busy for it to handle, staff start yelling over each other and organisation falls apart plus incredibly long wait times if you order online However the variety is amazing and the quality is superb

A very busy place. Ordered a large fish and chips and got a whale sized piece of cod - enough for two! Cooked to order.

We stopped using this place a couple of years ago when the chips went chunky, dry and tasteless. So we thought we’d give it another go and placed an order online for collection. 20 minutes later we turned up to collect and we’re told “We will now start your order” What! So we waited another 10 minutest What’s the point in ordering online? How weird. Anyway the chips were no longer the nasty ‘Healthy’ poor excuse for chips we had previously but tasty as chips were meant to be

As always it was excellent. On this occasion I had fresh row and chips. It was delicious and piping hot. The row was just the right size for my appetite is along with the scoop of chips. The staff were great and very helpful.
