Simple pub in an 1800s brewery, with tiny rooms and real fires and serving real ales with pork pies.

Well presented pub in the back streets we walked from the canal and absolutely loved the welcome from Mandy and her staff gave. Several interesting areas to sit and enjoy a pint or two of well brewed beer. Dog friendly which is a bonus. Would certainly return, keep up the good work and get to live your dream

The land lady and Land lord run a good pub to be fair and fair play to them both. However when a dark haired staff serves their customers and sticks your drink down in a cluster of drinks without me seeing it and when asked about the outstanding drink her response was “if you opened your eyes it’s there”! In a sarcastic aggressive manner! A disgrace to her land lady and land lord and is quite clearly not able to carry out a role in any line of customer service. A shame because one staff member lets the whole of the team down. Won’t return.

Proper Pub... people sharing their views chatting sense of community spirit. Landlady/landlord working hard..greeting customers sharing a joke & making newcomers (me) very welcome!. Staff friendly & fast, despite how busy it gets...popularity of this little gem of a place speaks for itself!Plenty of ,"cask real beer" for you to try. Sells homemade pork pies & sausage rolls delicious! You won't taste another like this...sells out fast! Great free all Live music at weekends. Plenty of Future events written on big chalkboards, so you dont miss a thing. Beautifully kept, Surrounded by the memorabilia of Burton/Brewers fascinating past, & the feeling of comeraderie, you'll know you've had a proper night out...just like it should be.

Decent pub with a good selection of beers and some fantastic nectar (AKA Bass). Having strong roots to Burton it felt good being in there and we had a good night. Watch out for the opportunist (albeit friendly!) landlady. I wanted to but the Mother-in-Law a gin and tonic (just the one!) and I was told it was cheaper to buy a double at nearly £7. I queried it and she insisted, so – being in good spirit and not wanting any over-complications – I just accepted it. With reflection, it’s clear she probably meant it was cheaper to buy a double rather than two singles, which is probably the case at any pub I have ever been to, but as the MiL only wanted one (and I did state it) it was an unnecessary up-sell. Didn’t put me off though and I’d go back.

A smashing pub in the ‘home’ of beers. Straight from the barrel, Bass, Joules and Guest ales are all superb to taste, and there’s also a few craft/keg to sample. Staff and patrons are all friendly and welcoming 👍

Brilliant find in the back streets of Burton. You won't find a better step back in time or selection of beers anywhere in town. Great staff as well. Thank you guys👍

An ultra friendly and homely pub. Walked up from our canal boat to try out the beers and pork pies. Both were excellent. Locals so friendly. Enjoyed a really pleasant few hours in the pub. Outside area also looked really nice for those who don't want to be inside. Beer selection fabulous.

A great tap house. Pub itself is very quirky inside and quite small but plenty of little crannies to site in. The ale served is of a good standard with plenty of gravity ales, which is now very uncommon.

Coopers' Tavern is a basic, unpretentious little boozer in Burton, but one with a more than decent selection of real ales on hand pumps. A good place for a quick pint, but not necessarily a place to linger. Decor is very basic, too. Staff are friendly indeed, and they have their own little beer festivals on occasion. Your friendly neighborhood pub.
