Lowercase Coffee Shop At The Alphabet Gift Shop in East Staffordshire

I've been here a couple of times recently, meeting with friends for breakfast and afternoon tea for mothers day and the food, decor and atmosphere are amazing. Its such a lovely place and I always enjoy a look round the gift shop too. I would definitely recommend coking here to everyone.

Apologies, but disappointed (would have told the staff, but no one came to ask if everything is ok). We had breakfast (myself the Waffles) and Flat White (coffee). The Waffles weren't freshly made (buy a waffle machine and make them fresh) & warm (let alone hot) and had a 'sugary' texture. The Yoghurt & Banana (with berries exyra) were nice. Had a side of bacon, which was quite 'fatty' - needed to be crispy bacon. The Flat White had to be drunk when it arrived, as it wasn't very hot. Always like to drink throughout my meal. Service was OK & friendly. This is a very nice cafe, but the 'Wow Factor' needs a bit more work - SORRY.

Nice avocado smash but avocado was freezing cold, which cooled the rest of my breakfast very quickly. Coffee better than last time I was here . WiFi hopeless.

Popped into Lowercase Coffee Bar after visiting Alphabet Gift Shop. Great place for a coffee and food. Highly recommend the Baileys Hot Chocolate and toasties 😋. Fantastic service, friendly and very helpful staff in both the gift shop and Lowercase. Well worth a visit! 👍🏻

Fabulous first experience from the moment the door was opened today! Yes, we were amongst others waiting outside before they opened as we knew it would eat busy.Greeted with a smile and seated quickly.The set up of how they ran was explained and after choosing, I went to order.Once again greeted and serviced with a smile and friendly vibe.Nothing was too much trouble.Delicious crunchie hot choc off the new menu of specialties only printed yesterday!Delicious food! Great atmosphere. Clean & warm environment on a bitterly cold Sunday!Will definitely be returning, as I visit the gift shop for special occasions, but never had time for the coffee shop - but I’ll make time now!Thank you to all the team today!

Nice cafe unfortunately tea very weak, toast had to be sent back not cooked and really cheap jam (possible jelly) in plastic carton. Could be a very nice place without cutting corners on quality.

A lovely place. As well as a nice café, it sells gifts. We had drinks. One Fentimen ginger ale, and a latte with a shot of vanilla. Staff are friendly. COVID precautions in place. You either scan your details or write down your details for track & trace. Then you can order at the counter. There is outside seating as well. Next time we'll try the food 😋

Lovely cosy cafe and gift shop. Great brunch and light lunch, fab cake. Ready parking nearby (small charge). Check kitchen times - lunch service ends before closing time.

First visit today. A nice spot for food and coffee. I was only going in for a hot soup lunch, ended up trying more than I had planned to check the venue out for future working lunches. Food is good, reasonably fast and nicely fresh. For which I don't mind waiting a little. Coffee is ok - typical of most bistros (no need to fill a soup bowl with brown stuff) but they did prepare an Espress Macchiato for me which wasn't listed. Very much a 'ladies-do-lunch' venue but I'll be back in future. Thanks
