Having been previously before and having an excellent meal we thought we'd make a return visit. This experience didn't live up to the last one, the place was cd, most of our party say with their coats on throughout the meal. Attention to detail wasn't quite there with the meal, We weren't allowed to have a mix of meals, ( Sunday lunch) and felt at times as if things we were asking the waitress for, felt like too much trouble. Will think twice before we return again.

I am finding it difficult to find anything wrong with the Crown. Immaculately clean, super friendly staff and a lovely location. Our room was also super clean, bathroom a bit on the small side and not a lot of storage, but still a lovely room.We ate at the restaurant and what a treat, lovely, tasty soup, pies to die for and beautiful desserts, again super friendly staff, and all served really hot.Breakfast in the morning made to order, really tasty and again, hot. What a treat to stay here after a great day at the races, it made for a fabulous weekend and we would recommend to anyone.

Best burger my son has ever had! The lamb shanks were tender and moist, sublime! Overall family friendly with lovely staff! Catered to all our needs and was very clean with a warm atmosphere! You do need to book though as it is popular!

Staying at the local campsite, 5min walk down the road, ate twice during our stay and found the food quality excellent, although the menu was quite limited, never the less food was superb, as was overall service. Lovely facilities outside of the pub as well, with a heated seating area.Highly recommended.
