Rivaj in East Staffordshire

We ordered a a chicken pathia and a tikka main. Firstly the delivery was 25 mins late so 105 minutes. The pathia was like a korma and the tikka was a starter at best. We didn’t get any popadoms, however my friend who ordered the same night received 6. My korma pathia was edible but won’t bother again. Far better currys can be delivered from the same area.

The restaurant is so small that people collecting food are standing over your table. The collection service is terrible, arrived an hour after ordering (as told) and took nearly 2 hours. I would order from 10 other restaurants before coming back here

Experience from 18/9/21Arrived at restaurant 7.45pm for table booked at 8pm .It was very busy people standing inside and outside waiting for takeaways my husband went in asked if our table was ready no one to speak to for a few minutes to busy on the phones taking takeaway orders HELLO!! what about the people you have booked in waiting in your restaurant this was not a good start .There were two spare tables was told neither one of them was ours went back outside to wait as nowhere to sit more people now waiting for takeaways my husband went in again at 8pm asked if the table was ready we were asked to wait till two people had finished their meal I dont think so when two tables sat empty .The only conclusion I can come to is GREED doing to many takeaways instead of concentrating on the people you have already booked in waiting for meals.REAL shame because our last visit was excellent food and service wont visit again if that's how they want to run things .PERHAPS YOU SHOULD JUST BE A TAKEAWAY.

One of my favourite curry houses in and around Burton. Great selection on the menu, fair prices, and you are allowed to bring your own booze.The staff are fantastic and service is always spot on. Unlike some places you are asked when you are ready for your starter and mains, rather than it being thrown in front of you before you've had chance to digest. From the way the dishes are served you can tell the staff care about the food and the customer.I had the lamb bhuna on my last visit which was lovely - portion size just right, with plenty of meat, and not swimming in oil like a lot of other Indian restaurants in the area.They also offer a 10% discount for takeaway orders.

Visited on a very busy Saturday night, we were not disappointed the food is excellent very tasty and very competitive prices, staff are friendly, the only disappointment was the waiting time for food, the manager did apologise and said he had 2 members of staff off, definitely be returning

Absolutely delicious. The staff listened to our dietary requirements and suggested what we could have. The mixed grill and rogan josh were gorgeous!

I've been to many curry houses, from Glasgow to Bradford to Plymouth. This place is by far the best I've ever been too.Staff are absolutely incredible, very welcoming and the food is always delicious and piping hot. It's so cheap too!Definitely get yourself here whenever you can
