Riverside Hotel in East Staffordshire

Pre ordered and then didnt have what we wanted when we arrived. One meal short to the table, poor customer service. Dont go here of you are a large party ( 12 ) as even though they made us pre order they didnt serve is what we ordered. Steak was overcooked, fish was overcooked, chicken was overcooked. Ok for a beer but go somewhere decent for food. You Get what you pay for but even if the food is kinda cheap i still expect decent service. Management need to train staff properly. Why do people fail to see the impact of poor service. We will not be returning.

Will use again ideally situated for NMA and general visit to local area

1. Good location for National Trust properties.2. Good selection of local restaurants if not dining at this hotel.3. Hotel Breakfast was good.4. Hotel evening dinner was good.5. Accommodation was acceptable but the room had the following issues. Room size was small (cramped). Note: No bath only shower. Heated towel rail in bathroom was broken. Bedside lamp broken.On a positive note the room had air conditioning.Some rooms face out towards the river Trent. The others look out onto the car park.6. Some guests were very noisy at night during our stay…walls are not very sound proofed.Because of the above have only given three stars.

Had a great stay here, comfy hotel rooms and very friendly staff. The breakfast was really tasty!

Great for a little break with the bestie ..Nice selection of gins to help with the relaxation..very clean rooms and pleasant staff

The hotel was closed when we visited so we took the opportunity to park up and have a stroll along the river.Well worth a look
