First time visit for a Sunday Carvery today. 5 of us in total. Thoroughly enjoyed the ‘home cooked’ dinner. For me I had the Beef & turkey, Yorkshire pudding, sausage, carrots, peas, cabbage, brussells, broccoli, roast potatoes, new potatoes, mash potatoes and lashing of gravy. Mmmmmmm

We called in for a quick pint one night, the staff were friendly and attentive and the beer was first class. The atmosphere in the bar was warm and welcoming. We didn't try the food but will do in future.

Went to try out the Sunday carvery after seeing online recommendations. Very popular, with many regulars greeted by name. Choice of beef, turkey, pork and quiche (veg) or any combination of these. Wide range of vegetables including choice of plain or cheesy mash. Meal was hot and went down well. Only slight negative is that we like our beef pink and all meats were well done but not everyone likes pink beef! Good range of desserts. Other half had bread and butter pudding and custard. The Ferraro Roche cheesecake was very popular. Will go again for a quick, well priced Sunday lunch.

First class village pub with extremely good customer service along with a friendly welcome. The ales are fresh out of the casks and the Sunday carvery is absolutely delicious :) well worth a visit!!
