The Bank House Hotel in East Staffordshire

Had a lovely meal there. The chap ( sorry didn't know his name ) was very friendly and made sure everything was perfect.The hotel/ Bar itself was very comfy and nice and clean. Would definitely go back again

Lovely old pub/hotel. Rooms are decent and comfortable for a family of 5 staying in one room. Good food and a decent pint and plenty of amenities in the local area, would happily stay there again.

Didn't stay at the Hotel but ate Sunday luncheon in the Bistro 1777.The luncheon is great. NO complaints at all. Food delicious, hot,plenty of it and also nice Starters.Meat always cooked to perfection.Dining room needs dressing like it used to be. Fell short on my last visit. No tablecloths nor place mat, no glasses either . Room under dressed and not so inviting.Cluttered at one of room also. Didn't use to be. Roland great host though.!😁

For the hell of it I tried to drive from Gloucester to Settle on 'A' roads and got as far as Uttoxeter where, seeing sense, a church spire and ample parking, I pulled into the lovely Bank House Hotel. Splendid old building, excellent bar with a fresh pint, and leather arm-chairs around occasional tables in which to 'gather my wits'. The proprietor as chef says: "What would you eat?" Something light says I. At my leisure he serves me roast salmon and new potatoes. This gives me wings and I make Settle in two hours or so. (Perhaps the M6 played a part!)

Excellent central location near stations. Motorways, shops and with outstanding meals. Strongly recommend Alton towers visitors use it as a huge cost saving hub. See all the attractions without gross overpricing and eat far better at the bank house hotel at affordable prices. See Alton and keep money in your pockets. Think smart think bank house hotel. Good as a commuting base for travelling salesmen. They try so hard for us as guests. Go there. Affordable prices great service. Good people trying for us.Good rental rooms for meetings and weddings. A serious town asset. I will be going back.

We held our wedding reception here, food was amazing. Roland and the other staff couldn’t do enough for us, excellent service. We stayed over and the room was beautiful. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We will definitely be returning here

Just returned from a Sunday lunch here. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed it. Food was really good and the staff very attentive. We will definitely return and will be telling family and friends. Thank you.

Lovely and cozy hotel. The room is very clean and warm. We stayed here for the trip to Alton tower theme park, and the location is perfect, there’s a bus stop nearby the hotel at Uttoxeter rail station.

Well, I HAD been in the company of someone who once turned their nose up at this place.Naturally I couldn't wait to try it.I went the dog you see pictured and my friend. We went in through the back door via the beer garden.Course I was after a beer, the man, Roland said he'd bring me out a taster from the local brewery and brought out quite an exciting menu.Full of the joys of spring he was and couldn't do enough. We had a whisky and coca cola and a pint of the local bitter.Food wise, I predictably went for the Pate. And it was quite frankly amazing.My friend had the mustard chicken strips potatoes and veg, they were brilliant.Roland offered us the chance of a reduced price fish and chips and also the gammon for £7.50I had the vegan burger with homemade chips. Not being vegan but watching my weight, Roland offered me cheese on my burger and also bacon, I said if it's decent and he said its from the local butcher.The food came out quickly and it really was excellent.There were other staff in the hotel who very friendly and I even noticed a charging point for the electric vehicle.I asked about overnight prices and they said about £60 a night but can even do a deal for regular guests.So impressed with the Bank House Hotel. I can't wait to go back there.Looked after us really well. Go there, you'll love it. It's real.

Perfectly positioned for rail, racecourse, pubs, shopping and dining. Great breakfast and warm, welcoming staff. Cannot find a fault. Rooms a little dated but more than adequate for our needs. Will be back
