Food is normally good quality, best to phone ahead for a table, make sure you put your car reg in the machine on entry. Can sometimes wait a bit to long for your food to arrive.

Our first time in this lovely pub, and would highly recommend to anyone. We had a very tasty lunchtime meal, and it such good value for money too 😋👍

Recently paid a visit to this public house to meet up with friends and hopefully enjoy a meal. I can remember when this was the blue posts commonly known as the stumps. First impression was quite good but looking closer at the furniture it was well worn or in other words worn out. Very uncomfortable seats which I could remember from my youth in the 1950 s. I found great difficulty getting in to my chair as the table was so close to the wall ! The beer Doom Bar was far from excellent only just passing my basic test of reasonable. The food I have to say was quite good although my dish was swimming with gravy and I had to ask for a spoon. Gravy on the side was unnecessary in my opinion. We were not offered any dessert nor can I remember seeing any on the menu. The dining experience was completely spoilt by a table of young people who were playing a very noisy game that should have taken place in the bar area. It was difficult to hear our conversation yet no action was taken by the staff. Finally when we received the bill it had not included some of our drinks. This was pointed out but we received no sign of appreciation for our honest action. Not a place I would like to return too.

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. Good size car park and dog friendly - we were allowed to take our dog into the bar area. Dog treats and water provided! Lunch menu was exceptionally good value, and the food was really tasty, with good vegan options. Staff friendly and attentive and comfortable atmosphere. Couldn’t fault anything. Very impressed and will definitely be back.

First of all, the staff were very friendly and helpful so this is the reason for an extra star when I would’ve just given 1.My friend and I both had the same meal, the chicken wrap. Only difference was I had hunter chip upgrade. The chicken was supposed to be fried but it was honestly the taste & texture of some greasy, cheap chicken kebab meat.We now both have food poisoning, I’m currently in bed writing this and have had to miss work as I’m so unwell. My stomach is in so much pain and I won’t go into too much detail with my symptoms but I’m sure you get the gist.We used to eat here quite a lot before ownership changed and the food was always brilliant but I definitely wouldn’t eat here again. Even the drinks taste worse now.

Great food, great service. Pub food done really well. Was a bit busy, but staff were clearly trying their best. One of the best places to eat in Burton.

Nice place with a good atmosphere.I went here and had cocktails which were 2 for £10 when I went. The cocktails were very good and you could taste the alcohol meaning they weren't watered down by the mixer too much. There was a nice variety but would have like to have seen more options.I have orevuouslt had food here and it is very tasty and reasonably priced.I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Love The Crossing. Great atmosphere and great food. Lost a star for their coffee - no excuse in 2021 for not being able to make a decent espresso or cappuccino, especially if you have a gastropub menu like The Crossing

First time having a meal here had a great night, we were a table of 7. Food was slow to come out and one meal was wrong but it was soon rectified. However our fabulous waitress Mia more than made up for it, she was brilliant, looked after us so well, advised us on drinks and cocktails. She made our night great thank you!

Lovely place to be, nice staff. The menu is large and lots of different lagers on tap. I made the mistake of ordering the bucket of fish and chips- it was too much to have! Really tasty just massive. I also had a dessert which was very nice- a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The prices are good and I think this is one of best places to eat and drink in Burton. The interior is so pleasant; shabby chic and comfortable with light background music. The toilets are clean and tidy. I will return! Free parking to the rear.
