Absolutely outstanding....5* is just not enough! The food is sensational, outstanding just perfection! Complex flavours in every dish! Each mouthful is a taste explosion! Compliments to the Chef and Team!Front of house team are exceptional! Nothing is too much trouble. Clearly well informed about wine menus and each dish. We can't recommend enough. This was our second visit ... we will be back!Thank you to all the staff for showcasing exceptional seasonal produce in a warm, welcoming environment!

Food overall was good value although the goats yoghurt starter was lacking flavour. The meal felt quite routine and the service a bit hit and miss with some young inexperienced staff literally throwing the food down in front of you when it came out without a word.

Few lads from the city arrive after a long journey looking for some food. We were not taken in too kindly as this was a 'Michelin' star. We were prejudiced against at beginning for being a group of boys. When the food arrived it was decent but for a Michelin star I was expecting my burger to be a little less dry and more then 7 chips on my plate...Not overly impressed but wasn't the worst

A lovely warm, friendly pub and restaurant with amazing food that is next level! The whole menu looked great but I went for the Lamb which was cooked to perfection. An extensive wine list was also welcome with something for everyone no matter what you have on your plate.

The Duncombe Arms can be a great place to eat but unfortunately the food quality can be inconsistent, and on this occasion it fell short of expectation for a Michelin listed, 'Bib gourmand' restaurant. The ambience was lovely, the staff pleasant and attentive, however the menu was pretty much a standard pub menu and the food underwhelming for the price demanded, particularly the starters which were bland and lacking in flavour. Our last two visits had been particularly good so this was a real disappointment for a birthday celebration.

An exceptional place to stay and to eat. Rooms are the height of luxury with everything anyone could possible want. Gorgeous bedding, comfortable and scenic, superbly furnished and equipped. The food in the bar/restaurant was second to none served with a smile. So cosy with open fires and delicious food both at dinner and breakfast. I cannot recommend The Duncombe Arms enough. It is simply the best. One thing I noted was there is even an electric car charger in the car park!

Lovely pub-aurant. Amazing food, lovely venue and atmosphere. Staff very friendly and professional. Very charming place. Wife is convinced the Rhubarb and custard soufflé is the best pudding she's ever had! Highly recommended.
