We stopped in for lunch while in the area and are so glad we did! The chimes jingled as we opened the door, telling us that this is place to come in and be as you are. The owners, sweet and chatty friends who have opened the cafe together, have set an atmosphere that is both intimate and relaxed - as though you’re in your aunts living room rather than a cafe with strangers. We are coffee drinkers and the coffee was good! The meals are basic but quality, certainly no sense of cutting corners, and the prices are good! This is a place where you will get a real feel for the friendly and warm area of Newborough.

I have been visiting this cafe regularly for a few years now as one of my favourites. Until this year though it fell into a 4 star rating which still regarded it as very pleasant cafe to cycle to from Burton upon Trent. Lovely small rear garden to sit outside on warm days.......then it all changed. In January this year Karen Reah bought the business immediately putting her own ideas into it and calling it Vintage Tea Rooms. With a 50’s styling including her own uniform and a permanent Hollywood Smile it hit my 5 star rating overnight. This lady knows how to make a 5 star coffee in a full range.Still B & B too completely refurbished.Delightful little used lanes in all directions make it a haven for cycling. Country footpaths spread out like a spiders web.EnjoyDuring the first lockdown. Karen completely reorganised the outside area to suit the situation with isolated tables, a new imitation lawn area with large awning and a small cabin area with 3 tables. It is an absolute delight and a credit to her enterprising forward thinking.Still at the top of my favourite cafe list.

First visit to this lovely tea room. Weather was good too as we were eating outside. Great garden with ample room for distancing. Food and cakes were enjoyable too. Would recommend and will visit again.
