The Red Carpet Cinema and Cafe Bar in East Staffordshire

Arrived for meal at 6:30pm (had cinema booked for 8) Full order was taken around 6:45pm. Drinks and starters arrived very fast. This is where it went downhill! Our plates for starters were cleared super fast and shortly after this my small beer was empty. We were never asked once if we wanted more drinks! At around 7:45pm I called a waiter over and asked where our main meals were as we had the cinema at 8. At the same time I ordered more drinks. Our mains arrived at about 7:55 but still no drinks. I shoveled my food in but my partner couldn't as she needed a drink desperately by this point. I politely asked for a manager to come over and see us as these issues aren't the waiters fault. The manager (if you can call her that) didn't bother! Apparently she was too busy. However when we went to eventually go through to the cinema she was selling tickets on the front desk 🤷🏻‍♂️. My advice if you're desperate to sit in a run down uncomfortable small screen cinema is DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT! I can honestly say we wish we hadn't bothered. It was a birthday meal and film and was absolutely ruined by incompetent management. Do yourself a favour and book for the Thai restaurant on site instead.

It's nearly perfect in that staff could be a bit more cheery. However the cinema experience is lovely, a small theatre, peace and quiet to watch a film without people going out for sweets and drinks continually. So relaxing I fell asleep (the latest Downton film). Really nice relaxed feel to the whole experience and the food was not bad at all.

Such a lovely place, a must for all film lovers. The dine and film packages are excellent value and turn a normal night out, into a special night out. Excellent choice on the menu and well presented. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can either have your meal, before or after the film. Two different cinema experiences in either the 'big' or 'small' venue. If you love watching films or just a great meal out, or both, you must try The Red Carpet Cinema.

Absolutely fab place. We had breakfast before going to watch an early film followed by coffee & cake when we came out. Spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, friendly staff & excellent food, what more could you ask for! We're in the area for another couple of days & will definitely visit the cafe bar again to eat.

My parents and I had a wonderful afternoon at the Red Carpet Cinema. We ate a delicious meal served by attentive staff. This was followed by a movie in the comfortable atmospheric Cinema. A delightful way to spend a Sunday.

love the small cinema gives a very nice vibe compared to the big chain cinemas. Had a very nice Sunday lunch after a film showing which was very good. Service was a little slow during peak time, so be prepared, it didn't effect us as we'd seen film first, but if you are seeing a film after then consider timings. We will definitely return.

Great location right on the marina, an school cinema with a couple of screens and a nice restaurant. The menu had plenty of choice, including decent vegan options, which were really good.The only thing that let it down for us was the service. We stood by the door for 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us and took us to a table. The staff seemed to vanish for ages at times, too, and it wasn't that busy.Despite that, the food arrived quickly and was nice. Prices were OK.

Really lovely night at The Red Carpet tonight - delicious food, fabulous views across the Marina, friendly and professional staff, and a treat to see The Nutcracker live streamed from Covent Garden - a cracking night! 🎄

Lovely independent cinema and food is really good aswell. Great value. Dinner and film. Staff are really friendly aswell

A lovely place. Nestled within the Barton Marina. Atmospheric. It looks like an Art Deco cinema. We had an early dinner before going in to see the film. The place was clean and the service was quick. COVID precautions in place. Table service. No apps for ordering, the waitress came to our table and took our order. The toilets were clean too. There's plenty of free parking. I would definitely recommend this place.
