The Roebuck Inn in East Staffordshire

Spotlessly clean, staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. Management care for the customer experience, we heard them ensuring everything was ok for customers between themselves, this was not just for our benefit. Really interesting menu, not the same old stuff in other places, lovely food. Breakfast was really good. There were a few broken items in the room hence the lower stat ratings there but when we did say the radiator wasn't working someone came within minutes and got it working straight away. I would recommend this hotel.

Dogs in room closeby barked for hours, scrathing at door and howling.Complained to reception. I think they belonged to member of staf as she came, let them out and put them back in room and left them to start again.Woke this morning to barking and howling.I made video of them. It was so loud.

The location was ideal for us as we were visiting friends. Hotel is pet friendly and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Rooms were good

It was a short stay overnight. And we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was spot on, and the layout good. And the breakfast first class, will definitely stay again.

Booked a table in the restaurant, turned on time and got placed in the bar. First 2 pints poured was off and the the mains was so salty. It is a shame as I have had some good meals there.

Lovely meal with friends, not been for years, love the upgrade. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing and happy to answer our questions about food ingredients.Only slight gripe was some of the portions were a little small eg the rice pudding.Be assured we will be back !

Good food & value for money. Friendly staff & pleasant atmosphere. Negatives for me are that the toilets are too small & need updating!

Omg what a brilliant place, I will definitely be back to stay. The family who own and run this hotel are very friendly and run it very efficiently. The food was amazing with plenty of options. I really can’t wait for my next visit

Fantastic champagne breakfast served by very attentive staff. The food was excellent and we had a whole bottle of champagne between 4. Will definitely return.

The staff were truly amazing! They all had amazing attentiveness, they were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help!The food was also absolutely brilliant! My partner and I had three courses from the restaurant on both evenings of our stay and we were always finishing each dish saying how amazing it was.The location was perfect for us as we stayed over the weekend and went to Alton towers on the Saturday which is around 20-25 minutes away from the hotel. The beds were hard which is perfect for me but my partner had some trouble getting comfortable. Although it is a 3 star hotel, it exceeded all my expectations and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.When we initially arrived the bathroom had some soap and hair around the bath. This was rectified almost immediately by the amazing staff. Also the room / bathroom was a little dated, but served it's purpose entirely.
