very disappointed with my past 2 visits i came on mother’s day there was no meat apart from burgers and hunters chicken but no bacon and no thick chips like the menu says. i came today and there was no thick chips again today i was told i couldn’t have the hunters chicken because there was no cheese the chips were vile both times, i asked for the lunchtime deal menu and was nearly charged for the full price until i questioned it. the main women behind the bar was very miserable and wasn’t polite at all i don’t think vaping whilst going around collecting glasses and plates is very professional, didn’t look like she wanted to be there or talk to anyone if i’m honest.

Fantastic pub and got to be one of the best areas...BUT bar staff very very dismal indeed. No effort whatsoever with your drinks . Also slow. Food great however. Definately need to spruce up drinks with some garnish etc especially for the price

I was a bit disappointed when they had run out of my first two choices from the menu, but my third choice was ok. Not a great pie, but hot and tasty and the chips were good. It was very basic, but also very reasonable. I was delighted with the bill!

Table reserved and paid on arrival in the conservatory. Pleasent and helpful staff. Piping hot food. Very reasonably priced food and drinks. Lovely setting overlooking Old Mill and weir.

Excellent place to have a relax while listening of water splashes in a fast pace river. Perfect view, went there and felt as on a sea side, like a ocean breeze around you. Impressed.

Food was very good, quickly delivered, great attention made regarding the gluten free meal for one of our party, and all at a very reasonable price. Plenty of options available in both food and drink. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff made you feel very welcome too. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Would highly recommend it for a relaxing, friendly meal/ time out.

Lovely views of the river, music was a bit overpowering and took over the sound of the river. Nice family atmosphere and very polite and friendly staff. Beer was nice.

Lovely setting and helpful staff, we didn't have to wait to long to be served and the setting was lovely. We had the river in the background and the sun was out, without to much overcrowding. The drinks were cold and the company Fantastic, we only dropped in on passing with the off chance of some cool refreshing drinks. To be honest I would have had something to eat too as I seen a mixed grill going by that looked lush. We had dinner before we went out though. Not a bad place to drop in for a quick beer or food in a great setting. Well done to the sump 👍

Nice lunch burgers at the Sump we will be back.Went back this Thursday 08/07/21, the food standards had dropped considerably. We both ordered burgers and they were badly overcooked and the chips were over seasoned, the salad garnish was old and wilted, the buns were dry and not toasted and there was not pot of relish as promised on the menu. Lovely location and serving staff but the food was very poor. We won't be back!

Lovely pub, very clean. Friendly bar staff. Good choice of drinks and good food. Lovely outdoor seating right by the river and weir. All Covid rules are in place and a very safe and secure environment. We will definitely be back.
