Had evening meal, well cooked food, good sized portions. Busy and a bit noisy, music too loud. Still recommend though as good service.

A really nice modern hotel, would definitely stay here again. Big bath tub. Bed is good although pillows a bit thin and only 1 each. A few issues with heating, cleanliness of bed and towels, and the absent breakfast but all was resolved effiently by the friendy staff. The steak and stilton pie was the best I've had!

Well where to start with the White Hart Hotel...The Hotel is conveniently located and there was plenty of parking at the rear of the building. Check in was painless enough.First impressions are good, the bar/restaurant area looked very nice, was clean and had quite a few people in there for a Tuesday evening. The external of the building looks a bit tired and could do with a paint but the doesn't affect my stay. Our room looked very nice, the first thing to greet us was the temperature of the room, it was absolutely scorching. Really uncomfortably hot. The TRV valve on the radiator wasn't working which meant that the heating was stuck on full in the room(!!!) and to make matters worse the windows have child restrictors. The Building is obviously extremely old and full of character but that doesn't lend itself in the best of light sometimes. Some negatives, some pandantic, the one light in the room (ceiling) was very dim, either a bulb problem or an Earth fault on the Electric, the bulbs are warm LED with the bed lights being cold (don't like it when they are mixed), the wooden decoration around the room to ceiling has movement and needs caulking, several of the triangle lead windows are cracked or have holes. There is missing silicon in the Bathroom around the path panel, the feet of the sink unit are scratched and rusted, the bathroom door needs overhauling, it's catching at the bottom, the Extractor is connected to the light (issue if you shower in the evening or day) and you can't use the window properly as there are child restrictors on the window in there also. Carpet near door is stained. Bed slates have broken over time and been replaced with MDF board, remote control doesn't display TV Guide, Volume controls channels and Channel controls Volume.Hotel provides WiFi but doesn't display the password in the room (such a easy thing to do).The Tea Caddy is good, nice selection. A bottle of water would be nice to add that touch of finesse. There are small, individual bottles by the bath but there are big bottles by the sink (for every guest that stays), I don't like this (they are close to empty), you always want to feel like the only guest that has stayed there. Again a small change. It needs work and is an OK stay if this is what you are looking for or what the owners/managers are aiming for then it's fine. Just putting these points out there for them to be worked on.

Had a very disappointing visit . 8of us went for a birthday meal three of the party had cold food which was returned so they had to watch the rest of party eat there food when the replacement food arrived it was bland and swimming in grease (lasagna) so was left . Spoke to staff who informed manager and the three meals were taken from the bill but that spoilt the evening because we all wanted to eat . One of the party had a bottle of wine for £20 and it is a cheap £6 bottle from Asda .

My son travelled down from Yorkshire to take me out for a birthday meal so we bobbed into the White Hart. The menu has an excellent choice of starters, mains and desserts with prices ensuring great value especially at lunchtime. The food is of excellent quality. The presentation beautiful. The service cannot be knocked, the staff are engaging and professional.Highly recommended.

We were a group of 19 squashed onto 2 small tables for Sunday lunch with little space between the tables. There were bottles of water on the tables but we were given no glasses. We had to share 1 salt and 1 pepper between us all. The 2 serving staff worked hard but there should have been more waiting on all the tables in the restaurant. The food was mostly well cooked and there was plenty of it but the miniature sausages included in the main course tasted revolting.

Best in Uttoxeter. Had my 80th Birthday Party there in December2021 and could not have been looked after any better by Ashley and his team. Everyone remarked on how good the food was

Stayed here in the summer as a surprise from my wife. The room was okay, basic but pleasant enough - the loud music from the awful tribute act outside our window in the courtyard not so much. The food was nice, if I was reviewing just that I'd give 5 stars especially for how astute the waitress was - unfortunately the shocking customer service from management on top of the other negatives obliterates that. We paid for a room with breakfast, then in the morning there weren't any kitchen staff on site and a poor young woman was left to meet and greet and face the same anger from many different guests - we witnessed 2 different guests complain about paying for this and not receiving it while drinking our coffee's that were "all she could offer".We contacted the manager via email and social media only to be ignored.Lovely location, lovely restaurant, poor management who care more about image than customer service. Won't be visiting again nor recommending as a hotel stay.
