England's Gate Inn in Herefordshire

15-Oct-21 Had an excellent Sirloin steak washed down with great Butty Bark. Dog friendly, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Good country pub. Friendly welcome and good pint of guiness.

Went for food and it was not as good as it used to be, a bit like weatherspoons type food. OK but not brilliant. Lovely pub though and the beer is fab.

We visited friends in the village yesterday and six of us had the pleasure of eating outside at this lovely pub.To begin with the staff could not have been more attentive and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for them.The food was top class, the roast dinner which if there had been a vegetarian option for I certainly would have had. It looked and apparently was delicious. However I had their vegetarian lasagne which came with salad. I have to give my compliments to the chef, it was such a large portion and possibly one of the tastiest I have ever had. Thank you to everyone there. We will certainly be visiting again.

Fantastic food and plenty of it! Chef was very helpful as two of us wanted half of 2 different pizzas. He split the dough instead and made us 2 smaller and wonderfully light pizzas. Authentic Italian based pizza in a fantastically English pub!

Sat in the large garden, gorgeous food and drinks, staff are friendly, very welcoming and helpful.Toilets are clean and easy to use.Carpark is to the side of the pub and parking at the front so plenty of room, we have a large van and got in and out OK, even though it was very busy.Allocated parking spaces for guests that are staying.Would definitely visit again 😀

Went for my Mother-in-law's 80th birthday meal last night and the food was outstanding! So so tasty and great value for money. To ensure you can enjoy the generous portions go hungry! Lovely staff went the extra mile to make the evening very special. Thanks team EG, great work.

What this place lacks in terms of it's menu choices, it certainly makes up for by the sheer quality of the food here. Going here for my dad's 50th birthday was one of the best meals that I have ever had in my life. Would definitely recommend, the staff are lovely with a good selection of drinks, plus an excellent atmosphere and mood of the pub. If you haven't been here you should definitely check it out!

Brilliant pub. Didn't book and you need to on a Sunday but we were lucky with the October weather and could sit outside. GRAVY is the best and they should bottle it!!. Great roast. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great price at under 10 pound a meal. Really wish we lived closer and would hesitate to travel here if visiting close again.
