Where is Golden Cross?

🏠 Sutton St Nicholas, Hereford HR1 3AZ

"The Golden Cross has been in the Murray family hands since 1972. In recent times it has evolved from what was a small village pub into something of a "tardis"! Externally, the property still retains it's aged appearance, however, enter in & you find a bright open plan bar with distinct customer zones therein. Take a stroll upstairs & you find a purpose built restaurant offering a more relaxed environment for the diner. Real Ales, Herefordshire ciders and, a broad range of lagers, wines and soft drinks are offered. Food is served 7 days a week, lunchtime & evening. Darts & pool are played. Sky & BT Sport are available for the armchair sportsmen! Families are welcome and the pub is also dog friendly. All in all, something for everyone!"

Lovely little pub. Nice freshly prepared food. Ideal stop off with the 🐶. Being a meerkats meals member made it a really good deal.

Lovely place, friendly and clean. Good place to see a band. And to eat

Played pool here last week. I've not visited this pub before, but it seems a very nice place. The food looks great, the staff are very pleasant also. Haven't tried the beer as I was driving. It's definitely a pub worth visiting. 👍👍

Brilliant place for lunch, food is reasonably priced and it's plentiful, nice atmosphere and staff are lovely and friendly. Will definitely be going there again.

Visited last night, cold empty experience, food barely warm, noise herendous could not hear one another talk due to loud mouthed lads playing pool. We were never asked was the food ok or even after would we like desert. The whole experience was dreadful.

Stayed overnight in our 6m Campervan had a nice meal & good night's sleep, limited space for parking but managed to find a spot.

·

Nice looking pub shocking service shocking food, starter came out with mains, mixed grill terrible steak over cooked chicken dry black pudding had bad smell, mushrooms really chewy in stroganoff. Give it wide berth folks.

·

A gem of a pub. We stopped here as a family for Sunday dinner. 4 empty plates was an achievement with our kids! Friendly staff, stunning food and an immaculately kept pub. What more could you want.

Tuesday lunchtime was a good time to visit. The food was excellent and the few locals were friendly and welcoming. More than happy to return next time I'm in the area.
