We had a fab stay here. Super friendly staff that made us feel very welcome. Food was good but breakfast was not consistent and not that hot at times. Great location for exploring the surrounding areas. There's a lovely walk along the river Wye. Ross on Wye is about 10 minute drive away.

I feel like we visited a completely different place than the one reviewed. My drink came with a dirty glass, my partners pint wasn't that cold to begin with, the starters of steak and squid both tasted ok but were beyond chewy. Shanks were rock solid (as was the veg) and returned to the kitchen. Service was slow. Took 20 minutes to be served and get our drinks and an hour for mains..we were one of 4 tables in the dining area, hardly heaving. Atmosphere was non existent. We live locally and will not be returning, plenty more to choose from around here. Possibly a decent place for sleep and drink but I'd give it a miss on food.

Dropped in here for a sandwich after a walk. The sandwiches and chips were delicious 😋 they also have a nice non-alcoholic beer which is such option to have if you are driving. I wish more pubs would have a larger non-alcoholic range.Dogs welcome and also outside seating area is nice.

Nice 1 night stay, Adrian supervisor very good. Nice room with 4 poster bed and great view of hills opposite. Meal excellent steak bites, lamb shank and Biscoff Sundae. Full English breakfast excellent. Overall great value for money.

We decided to try the Inn on the Wye as the menus offered good choice and very suitable for young children too. We went for an early dinner with our 4 yo son and it turned out to be perfect for us. The staff were really lovely and friendly taking the time to chat to us and our son making sure we were well attended to. The food was delicious. The burgers were excellent and the lamb shank was perfect! The facilities were also spotlessly clean. We would definitely go back. Thank you for a great meal out!

The most annoying thing about this place is its lack of signage and lights to find in the dark! We were visiting the area and drove past it twice as it was pitch black! There really needs to be a sign with lights on at night. The food was nice, no complaints and we had a very polite server. The decor needs updating though. It doesn't feel very cosy or relaxing.

I expected more, as from the outside out it looks great. The food was okay but the service was slow and food debris left underneath tables put me off. It wasn't busy so no excuse for mess or to make us wait.

A very short stay at this lovely gem, we had a chalet room which was clean and had all essentials you would expect. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and helpful, proper pub food which was greatly appreciated after our long walk along the wye, and the best homemade onion rings, infact hubby said they re the best he has ever had in his 40+ years. The Inn is in a great position to go and explore other areas of outstanding beauty and as soon as we came home we re booked for a cheeky 2 night stay next year (kid free 😀)

I stayed one night in the hotel and I think it is on the expensive side for the quality. I also had a dinner, good ales, quality of the lamb ok (average) but fries were very good. Staff OK in the evening but for breakfast there was only one person for maybe 20 (?) people and was certainly under staffed. Overall just OK - average.

Great dogs friendly restaurant. Food was served fast and it was delicious too. Their beer is also amazing.
