Lal Bagh Restaurant in Herefordshire

Oh dear what has happened to this restaurant, we waiting 1.5hrs for an ordered takeaway, told it would be ready in 45mins so sat in the restaurant for a further 45mins. There is always missing items on the order and food quality has dropped. Is there new management and staff, if so, sort your service out. This is not a cheap thing to have as a takeaway, so you would expect much better service and more attention to the orders given. Very disappointed

Cold food and terrible service from the rude arrogant staff. Used to be great but now lost the plot. Even so, there is no need for the rudeness shown by the manager and his staff. We were told "if you don`t like it then go elsewhere" and we definitely will from now on.

Good food just lacking a bit of flavour for garlic and chilli also the kurma was slightly bland so I'll give a fare 4 rather than 5 stars.

Only had a takeaway but food was lovely, with fantastic customer service.

NOT SUITABLE FOR VEGANS. I called ahead of making my order, as I am the only vegan in my family and wanted to see whether I should make my own food during our last night together or be able to join in with the takeaway experience. Over the phone I was told anything on the vegetarian menu is also vegan (I realised they were probably quite busy so decided to go with that knowledge that there was clearly some dairy items in the menu.) When I arrived I wanted to check the chips weren't made in the same place as meat and the front of house seemed to find my question funny and tried to explain how no restaurant could make this vegan, despite me saying I had called beforehand. He laughed at my request despite me just saying "if it's not vegan, I don't want it." They also didn't take the order off so we still had to pay for it (Upset that I now hadn't made my own food to eat with my family.) They also had lied about the waiting time, which I can understand that places get busy and covid has make everything harder. However it meant we didn't even get to spend the last night with the family as it was too late by the time our order was ready. (We had called up and made our way there for the time they had given us and ended up waiting an extra hour.) So would not recommend if you are vegan, or have special dietary requirements. Or if you were planning on the takeaway as a treat for a special occasion. We also had paid for items that they had forgotten.

Brilliant food excellent service would go again for sure asked for recommendations on food to have and wasn't disappointed with the servers choice thank you 😀

Extremely long wait. Drinks served only after two reminders. Food disappointing. Samosas which had been delicious on previous visits were soggy and heavy. Mains were served tepid. Not told at the outset to expect long delay.

Visited here for dinner on Saturday evening as visiting family in Hereford. Service was friendly and helpful, the waiter obviously knew what he was talking about, but it was very slow, even though not particularly busy as the restaurant had only just opened. The decor was a little tired and could do with an update in some areas.Food was hit and miss. Samosa's lacked flavour, and one of the curries was bland. The trout tandoori was the surprise of the menu (actually was really good) but judging by the reaction of the waiter not a dish that is ordered very often. The naan bread was excellent. Portion size was large in comparison to other Indian restaurantsOverall was worth a visit but not sure I would make the effort to travel there
