Staff very friendly and happy. Not big selection of drinks but enough. Great cottage countryside pub on the inside. Didn't stop here over night so can't comment on food or sleeping quarters. Lots of parking spaces and close to hay on wye and short drive to Hereford or venturing into Wales.

Wasnt keen on the food the soup was hot in flavour and it was tomato so we didn't eat it the 3 steaks we had was good but 1 was very undercooked we asked if thay could take it back in and cook it a bit more the lady said ill ask and we didn't see her again untill she came and got the plates we wont be going back their again when we left 2 girls were laughing and taking about us as thay were staring and pointing out the window as £200 bill for 4 people

A very cosy refuge during a tiring journey through the hills in the December wind, rain, sleet, floods, etc. Desperate for the loo, I couldn't help noticing the roaring log fire and, well, supping a pint whilst staring at the flames ensued! Barmaid could have been a bit more engaging and friendly, but nice enough, and a very pleasant couple of hours spent, including some chats with other travelers, before heading off to a local hotel I booked. Impressive old building, complete with olde worlde doors, beams, the whole shebang.

Stop at this lovely place on way home from Telford. I had fillet steak with chips, onions, mushrooms & tomatoes. And Baileys cheesecake. Wife had chicken curry with rice, poppadoms. And chocolate cake. All were deliciousWe will make this our stop break in near future.

We had a delightful stay here. Reasonably priced accomodation with great food. Friendly locals in the bar in the evening and a couple of decent beers on tap. Within an hours drive of pretty much everything you'd want to visit in the area with Hay on Wye only 5 minutes away. Couldn't ask for more.

Very accommodating when me and my two girls just turned up and was family friendly. Service was great and waitress was lovely. Steak and Ale pie was very good too.

1 meal out of 4 was good.Curry was lovely!!!Burger was extremely dry, needed something to go with it like a relish or even cheese.Onion gravy with no onions! MIL chocked on a long piece of greenery and needed help.Really disappointed and will not be returning.

Disappointing food!We were looking forward to our first outing for lunch after lockdown easingIt could all do with a good clean up.....we noticed a bonfire/ burning pit next to our car in the car park!We will not be going back or recommend this place!A lot could have been done to make things better for customers a year of closure!!
