Good to see this place open again after the winter break and the refurbishment. New seating, tables and an extension make a big difference. Lovely surroundings right on the Wye and a fine beer and food selection.Just had the Butcher's sausage sandwich with a coffee, and both were spot on.Give it a try when you're passing.

Stayed at the camp site (really great site, good shower facilities, walks from the site, nice pitches, dog friendly). Had a few meals at the Riverside, friendly service, big portions, good price. Lovey location right next to the river. Will be back to camp and eat here again

Staying at the adjacent campsite, popped in on the off chance of getting a table, we were offered a table outside as they were fully booked. Service was excellent as was the food. Recommended 👌

We stayed at Lucksall campsite this Bank Holiday weekend and utilised the Riverside Cafe each day for food and drinks. The service was fantastic, I understand they were at a decreased staffing level due to covid, and yet you would never have known. We were served quickly and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

There's a good chance you'll drive past this pub the first time then once you've turned back around, the thought will cross your mind that you've gone wrong again as you come face to face with an automatic barrier...Well, that's how it is here. We stopped in front of said barrier whilst three similarly uniformed gents stared at us. Upon enquiry it turns out that they will lift the barrier if you're going to the pub or indeed the sizeable caravan and camping park that lies the other side.So the pub or bar or cafe-style establishment is part of the caravan park, but don't let that put you off (if that does put you off) as it is a nice little stop off right next to the river with a few outside wooden tables or alternatively some of those lightweight aluminium chairs and tables on the patio. The garden has some steep steps that lead down to a small concrete bank and a small jetty on the picturesque river. Indeed, whilst we were here, there were a few canoeists that had returned from their adventures, hauling their kit up the steps and through the garden to an adjacent plotThe toilets at the time, involved the use of the toilet block over the road and hidden behind a hedge so you may need to ask for directions and I'd have to say though, it's more of a summer pub as the interior, pleasant enough as it is, contains more of those aluminium tables and chairs with a tiled floor giving it that all-inclusive Tenerife hotel feel to it. Top marks to the staff though, very friendly, chatty and accommodating, in fact we had a different member of staff producing each of our drinks. Reasonable drinks prices but didn't try the food merely because of the time of day.So if you're looking for a riverside pub in this area, this is a decent spot, albeit it has little in the way of competition.

Absolutely Brilliant service.Popped in on the off chance for a spot of Dinner with the dog. Sat in the marque on the decking having a gorgeous meal and the even fed the dog for free with a bowl of sausages. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic little place. Wasn't expecting much for a restaurant in a caravan park but they have knocked it out the...well out the park with this one! Really nice scenery right on the river. Food was amazing. Had the tequila and lime chicken burger with dirty fries (baconaise, mozzarella and bacon) The mrs had a normal steak burger with millionaire fires (mozzarella and truffle oil) . Portion sizes are great. Well worth the money. Food quality is fantastic, staff are very friendly and they allow dogs too which is also a nice touch. If I'm in the area again, definitely coming back

We stopped here on our Kayak trip after an intense downfall of rain. The staff were really friendly and helpful and let us sit inside with our gear on. The coffee and food were great, lovely spot and view of the river. Would recommend.

Lovely food and wonderful staff, thanks to Sophie, Anna and Aaron. Had a wonderful evening Anna had a wicked sense of humour putting up with my sister and her requirements. Going back tonight. Hope for the same.

I brought a cycling group here for lunch over the August bank holiday weekend (booked in advance). There was a good choice of food, promptly served - everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their selections. I think the vegan in our party only found one option on the menu but luckily she was happy with it. The staff were helpful and friendly, there were sensible Covid-19 precautions with socially-distanced tables inside (if pre-booked) but many of us opted to sit at the outdoor tables by the river. Highly recommended for a lunch or coffee stop. The only downside is the cycle parking: a couple of nasty "wheel-bender" racks in the corner of the visitor car park where they were vulnerable to reversing cars, hidden behind a hedge so it was difficult to keep an eye on them from your table. I'd urge Lucksall to consider investing in some decent non-damaging racks and a safer, more visible position.
